Question about LS and telekinesis

So a dude in discord is asking this

“Why do you claim that a strong character can simply ignore levitation effects by "pulling themselves" even if there are no reachable objects?”

TLDR: Why can someone with higher lifting strength ignore someone with lower lifting strength’s telekinesis despite not weighing as much as their own lifting strength.

It can't, not necessary; one can only do that if it's within the TK's limitations, or have a power that allows it to do so (although difference may be relative).

Pretty sure they can only ignore pushing, pulling and weighting effects since those can happen on the ground.

Pulling someone up ignores LS to a degree since they can't use LS to weight more.

That's if they can't fly.

If they themselves don't have telekinesis, flight or some other way to generate force, they can't ignore lower lifting strength telekinesis or levitation regardless of how much higher their own lifting strength is. At that point, they can't generate any thrust to overcome the lifting force.

It doesn't matter how strong you are if you have nothing to push yourself off of.
I suppose at a certain threshold you could punch so hard to do so off the air, but generally they would need self-propulsion, flight, or tk themselves to prevent themselves from being lifted up like a baby, provided they're within the tk user's lifting strength.
