Question about covering the planet.

I know this is the average surface destruction, but what would be the yield if one simply covers the entire surface of the earth, adding another layer to it?

Assuming this is someone spreading some material out so that it encircles the planet, you’d find KE. This would vary heavily. You’d probably need to know/find material, thickness, and timeframe. If you had thickness, volume would be 4/3*pi*(6367.5 km [Earth’s radius]+layer thickness)^3 - 1,083,206,916,846 km^3 [Earth’s volume].

Ok... you seem like a great person for calcing. Tell you what. I’ll give you the scans for the feat I’m talking about. After that, can you calc it for me?
