If a series has a UES that is directly stated to be a being's life force, that all creatures have in some capacity, and is their "essence", would spirits and souls having that energy and using it to power themselves mean that this UES is directly connected to souls as well?
I'm asking because a character I'm looking at, Discord, is shown to absorb a being of magic entirely to the point he reduces him to nothing. In the series magic is stated and shown to be a character's life force that all beings have, yet beings like Windigos can also use magic even though they're stated to be spirits that don't have bodies. There are other examples of a character's spirit being connected to magic, but would the Windigo example be good enough to make that feat, and other examples of magic absorption in the verse, an example of soul absorption? He clearly absorbs his body, but would it also at least be a possibly soul absorption?
