Wiki Page Deletion Requests Thread (New forum)

From my understanding what they mean by outdated is amount of content that somehow or other doesn't go according to what is shown in the profile, recent downgrades show that there have been things that were there but right now are very questionable and it seems that right now deleting the profiles seems to be the quicker solution than dealing with upcoming downgrades/fixing the verse per se given the lack of translations, time, willingness or whatever.

The fact that most abilities lacks scans and references (some don’t even have justification), and profiles aren’t updated to reflect changes in our standards over the years, makes them outdated.

Example:
Rimuru's aura ability in his current profile.
Updated justification (for example)


Basically, they deserve much better.

At this point you're completely attacking. We're not deleting Rimuru's profile, you can still do all the downgrade you want since Rimuru literally has every ability in the series. You'll even be more at ease since you won't be applying them to a 40+ profile.
 
I think this verse has to go for the following reasons.
  • Bad formatting: Pages are really old, most of them having no edits (besides automatic ones) since 2019 and lack of justifications and references in all of their abilities.
  • Wrong information: Pages contain information that does not form part, nor is consistent with the original material. Such as the range of all characters being High Universal –tbh, idk the reason of this. None of them had shown this range in the novel. If anything, they showed the opposite, as they needed to spread through all the surface of The Moon to kill all familiars sent by Sakura–. Also, for some reason all heroine routes are composited in a single key, "base". This makes no sense at all; not only Kotarou's AP varies from one key to another (in some, such as Chihaya Route, being strong enough to content against Sakuya, the strongest familiar, whilst in others he couldn't even beat some low-level combat familiars. This isn't pure plot, as it depends of how much Kotarou is trained/uses Rewrite and in some Keys he just doesn't at all), but his abilities also change. For example, in Chihaya route he developed the ability to use Aurora more efficiently thanks to Sakuya, while he doesn't in all other routes. In Akane route he can use familiars, but can't in any other route. And in Lucia Route he developed immunity (in-verse) to Lucia's poison, while he doesn't in any other route.
  • Dead verse: All in all, the verse seems to be pretty much death. I haven't seen any try to upgrade the verse as long as I have been on this forum, and from what I recall there isn't even a General Discussion Thread for it.
For this, I think the verse should be deleted. The only supporters of the verse are @KaiokenBlueGT & @Celestial_Pegasus, in case someone wants to ping them to see their opinion in the matter.

long version of my 2 cents of why the profile should be deleted:
Ayano's case is a very weird one since she has apparently a lot of feats judging by her profile. Not to mention Psychomaster35 here (and here) has implied the profile has been deleted before.

The game is pretty much in development hell and by the time it's finished, I'll probably have a successful career and my fav. teachers from middle school would've probably retired.

Not to mention that the canon is subject to change and a lot of our favorite verses have scrapped content that wasn't finished and made to be in the final canon (example: games like but not limited to Subnautica, PvZ2, Among The Sleep, etc). So who's to say the profile's information will stay where it is when the canon is far more fluid to change than something more impacted and finished like Life is Strange or Sailor Moon?

I've said enough. I feel like I don't need to pester staff to know the answer of why we don't allow stuff from unfinished works on-site.

(And to add on King_Dom's counterargument back in the thread, Yandere dev still has managed to add stuff in the past 10 years, including Ayano's mother to potentially power scale, this also extends to Ayano herself)

I am personally uncertain about the TSSDK web novel pages. If its supporters are uninterested in working on improving those pages, it might be better to delete them, but if it is largely due to wanting to more easily upgrade them in the future when eventually restoring them, it seems like a bad idea.

Also, big thanks to all staff members who are helping out here. 🙏❤️

In such a case, we already need to make the CRTs when re-creating the profiles, if we don't, it shouldn't be that difficult to report for this and delete the profiles.

Still, considering Elizhaa's contributions to Web Novel profiles, if Elizhaa doesn't want profiles deleted, they can stay.

Finally, I was hoping that people would understand that I have no problem with justified downgrades by I not suggesting that Rimuru's profile be deleted. But I guess I'm wait for goodwill for nothing at this point.

If all of them would, could you apply the same to the Puella Magi verse ones too?

I talk with @SomebodyData off-site and they're currenlty working on the verse, but it's gonna take a long, long time due to the sheer size of the verse.

The profiles that however already have it are:
  • Madoka Kaname
  • Homura Akemi
  • Kriemhild Gretchen
  • Tart

They're basically all the non-blog names that you can find in the category I've linked above.

For the 4 pages that already have it, they're already worded in exactly how they're named.

They should add them in main abilities section, also the durability and speed sections lack calculations to justify their ratings to. With that it actually is kinda of weirdly disgusting Profile.
