Let's say, I make a post in the content revision thread to add Fire Manipulation to a character, if my post is accepted by the users and the staff, I can just apply the changes in the profile, like, I can add it

I've heard it was 8 hours

Some people say 8 hours, some people say 10, others say a day.

As long as you're doing it over an appropriate length of time, you're fine.
