Powerless - Role Play Thread

"Yeah, have to do something with them, wonder where they come from, is not natural they have that size, and not talk about the gugant bugs, but those Rats look more like experiment create after"
"Can you just stop talking about it? I can't physically puke right now, but I would if I could.."

@BlackDarkness679
Finally the saleswoman approaches the group

"Well, I'm done with them, what exactly do you want?" Vasthorr ask them

"Well, I'll show you around the city and stuff, being here in the room eventually gets boring" Rani said as she left the premises with Garret

People were hanging out, the buildings were taking on an increasingly peculiar shape, the colors were simple and their construction was made to optimally use resources, without going overboard in a millimeter way, according to what both read, people saw unusually large insect movement in the southeast area

As they approached, the group found the guards, or rather their unrecognizable remains, their bodies mutilated beyond what a chainsaw could do, there were bullet casings and energy weapons, the water that is transported by the large tube underground had a crack where it passed through, there were also insect corpses, the rotten smell began to become noticeable but luckily there are no flies yet, after all, Doc and Jael's rational thinking would make them assume that these are the size of a soccer ball.

However, the mystery is not over yet
(Waiting for the answer to this)
"Can you just stop talking about it? I can't physically puke right now, but I would if I could.."
"Fine, I have to take care of this anyway" Nathan says as he walks
(You can help him or not, but if you choose not I idk what to do with your character, I'm trying my best but I don't want to force you)

(Help him with what?)
(the Pig-sized rats, that is why i start to talk about them)

"We need some fuel to get with us on the way"

Responded Roxanne
"Oh, I see you're the ones the city sent, okay, follow me." She starts walking, the atmosphere is quiet but not calm because the sound of metal is always present, machines, slavers and slaves pass by you, some call Vasthorr "boss" or "Grand Master", she just waved her hand

until she reaches a large door, she opens it and what she finds behind it is a large warehouse

"Well, the general warehouse, see that big package with danger symbols? It's the fuel" she said while pointing to a large box of 1 cubic meter

"Isn't it radioactive?" Cynthia asks

"If it falls on your skin where 110% will melt you to the bone, so no" she later says while laught due that idea

"Im protected by the suit so i will be fine"

She goes ahead to lift the large box with her cybernetic arm, which is powerful enough to lift up to 5 times the ammount of the box, since 1 cubic meter is the equivalent to 1 ton or 1000 kilos in weight

"Lets go fellas, we cant waste anymore time"

She moves slowly with it on her way to their vehicle carefully

(Okay, I just wanna point out how that's just straight up wrong. The weight of one cubic meter of a substance depends on the density of that substance. A cubic meter of water will weigh less than a cubic meter of gold for example)

(As far as i seen from a few clicks, fuel is lighter then water, unless you wanna say its 5 tons heavy or more compared to water)

"Hey, who says you just walk away while I'm complaining my disgust?" finding how absurd this is, Tosho follows him
"Well, you seemed upset about the subject, so I thought you didn't want to come and I didn't want to bother you." he say honest

(Athe is right, but as I do not want to get into numbers and space gasoline to fuel a warp drive is rare, especially considering that when it is liquid it is Kg/L, so its density varies, M=VxD can give a high value depending. So just lets move. also Athe post your part)

"Okay, I'll wait for the transfer here" Vasthorr said.

Nick looked at the girls, the last time he remembered money had lost much of its value, returning to more material things like vehicle parts or jewelry in some cases.

The road was difficult, not because of the distance or anything, but because the steam began to fog up the glass of the group's helmets (or Nick´s visor)... although the group forgot something important or rather they forgot to do something.

(What do I post? I guess just have Doc examine the bodies?)

"Watch my back.", the Doctor told the group as he crouched down and began examining the corpses to find out their time and cause of death, starting with the guards before moving on to the bugs. It had become instinct to him at this point.

(okay i just went with the basis on average which is with water being that much, either way from what i searched and stated above, fuel weighs less, even if it was to be more by chance, i doubt now its gonna be made so heavy that she cant lift it with her cybernetic arm)

"God damn steam, i cant see shit!"

She rubs her palm over it to make it clearer with her empty hand Rox had available

Something he found was that the insects found something strange, it was like a piece of metal but carbon colored, it had a small red LED but it dont have power

"Huh Doc, we have a problem" Anthony point to sunset

"Bothered? I wasn't bothered to begin with..."
"Ah, okey, sorry, but back to the topic, we must end this plague, unlike insects, these reduors are different, they almost seem to be capable of logical thought, have you heard about the experiment of putting human brain cells in rats back in the old Earth? I think someone (you guys can guess) has modified those things to be a kind of labor force and agents to attack the city's systems" Nathan start

The group saw Tannis waiting for them in the distance, who got out of the vehicle.

"Well, how was the experience?"

"Heated, anyway we have the fueeeelllll-" Cynthian said as her voice begins to lower, she noticed how the sky darkens

"Damn" Nick murmurs

"Great" Jessica now sigh

"I think I've read that in one of the Archives back at Manus HQ. Goes by the name "Natasha Ravenclaw" or something.... she seems pretty sick in the head for a bitch."

Said after she put down the fuel where it had to be in the vehicle

"It's already this late? Trust me, I only need a few minutes. Do you know what this is?", he asked while holding up the strange object without looking at him.

[JAEL] text log to [DOC]: Perhaps you could have our allies be on the look out for similar devices? They might be able to help deduce what it is.

"It looks like some kind of tracker, but dont has power" Anthony said.

"Yeah, like the one that guy had, I think his name was Tarn or something like that, either way we need to find shelter before it gets completely dark, or we are cooked" Amy continued.

"Splendid...now what?"

Said after she put down the fuel where it had to be in the vehicle
In the distance they could see people getting into position, while whole groups headed out into the immensity of what would be night in a couple of minutes

"Either we seek shelter here or we take our chances trying to cross the dark nights" Cynthia commented

"I don't know which is worse" Jessica sighed

"Damn this planet and its 6-hour day and 18-hour night time" Nick cursed
"I think I've read that in one of the Archives back at Manus HQ. Goes by the name "Natasha Ravenclaw" or something.... she seems pretty sick in the head for a bitch."
"Yes, more or less, in any case, from the stories and photos, they seem to be dangerous, it is better to keep our distance and not make direct contact, who knows, maybe they have some kind of Super Black Death Plague" he said, half joking, half serious.

"How long would it take us on the fastest route possible to get through and out?"

Asked for some clarification on this to think their choices

"Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes" Tarnis said as he looked at Rox

"What, you want go outside and see if the bugs eat our asses? i mean i dont like stay here but we have to think this well" Jessica says

Nick noticed Vasthorr in the distance, along with a group of her robots, getting on a series of transports belonging to Wildcard

"Well, there goes a genius that Doc said not to go with the bad guys." Nick realized he had the memory of a goldfish at this point.

"Alright, I'm just about done here. Let's stay in the building where we left our means of transport in case we have to dip.", the Doctor said as he stood up.

(I'm guessing she has to be on their side for the plot huh?)

(Not necessarily, but I made sure to point out that the group forgot to mention it, Rox and Nick didn't want to tell Jessica or Cynthian about what the doctor said, so they simply couldn't stay, it's not like she's going to just leave for the enemy camp and join them, she'll see if what they have is good or not, she's not that stupid to go to the first spaceship)

The Doctor quickly turned and aimed his gun at the direction of the noise, ready to fire if necessary.

Armored_Ground_Cricket.jpg

What they saw next was a 5 meter cricket, with bio armor, the sound it made was like a bell ringing to say it was time for lunch, Amy, Anthony and Doc fired at the same time, however their fire only caused the cricket to be pushed and before they could get past their bio armor it jumped almost 10 meters into the sky to try to fall on them if they didn't move.

"I trying to keep this not boring"

"LOOK OUT!", he yelled as he ran and leaped out of the way. Narrowly evading the insect as it landed on the ground, the Doctor quickly took out the blue smoke grenade he had been carrying. He then pulled the pin and threw it right under where the armoured beast was standing.

The fumes that started coming out was a paralytic substance which also produced an absolutely nasty smell for bugs, serving to both deter and disorient them when they're caught in it. The crew was thankfully wearing suits that protected them from the gas, though its scent could linger for quite a while.

(Waiting for Zoro to let you know)

"Can't we just get there already?I have a limited battery life."

After a couple of minutes of walking they arrived at the place where the last sighting was, it was a dump of broken parts
"Today is Tuesday, so even if we don't find them today, on Thursday a team will come here to get rid of all the broken stuff from this place, however, it is very likely that they will be gone by then" Nathan said
