Possible Mewtwo Upgrade

Okay. Before we try and put this under the rug, hear me out please.

Now [according to this thread I made], if a character is able to defeat a large group of people whom have 4-D power, then they can be upgraded to the very least "High 3-A" if legitimate.

Reason why I think Mewtwo should be upgraded is concerning the Unown. Although the Unown are rated "Unknown", they each still posses a decent amount of 4-D power. And in the manga, Base Mewtwo can casually swat away a very large of Unown incredibly easily:

So if taken seriously, what can we do with this?

I mean, that ain't upgrading him to 3-A. Id love a 3-A Mewtwo but from this? Nah, and by this logic we'd have 3-A Deoxys, Darkrai and zygarde for 1v1 this specific Mewtwo.

If the Unowns aren't High 3-A, no reasons for Mewtwo to be High 3-A from this.

Also, aren't individual Unowns considered very weak, even in-universe?

To be fair Darkrai is already Low 2-C so he's not really a fit to go against this.

And why exactly would this be an outlier? Mewtwo here seems to not be struggling at all to handle the Unown and the Unown are consistently referred to as fodder mon all the time aren't they?

1. Outlier. I mean it's literally infinitely higher than all Mewtwo's other feats or powerscaling put together.

2. Unquantifiable I'm pretty sure. (Slight 4-D power doesn't warrant upgrade. It's why busting a planet or star sized pocket realm doesn't upgrade people to such high levels)

3. If other people with 4-D power in this same verse aren't considered High 3-A like Saikou said, then neither should Mewtwo.

Now that I think about it, why were the Unown downgraded?

Didn't they survive the battle with Dialga and Palkia in their own dimension?

Okay thinking about it, it's about as legit as Mewtwo hurting Palkia in any other context. A huge outlier that we shouldn't include.

The only thing I'm confused on is if the Unown are consistently referred to as fodder at least in the manga and Mewtwo casually throws them around like toys, then wouldn't stalemating Deoxys just mean Deoxys in the manga specifically greater than the Unown? Unless I'm just missing something.

It'd probably mean horrible powerscaling and PIS if anything.

Now that I see it, you have a good point.

Red seemingly thinks the Unown are only able to rival their own pokemon based on what he says in the first panel me thinks.

@Matthew

From what ik, aside from surviving Dialga and Palkias battle in the anime, and making a pocket dimension in their movie, having 4-D power to a decent degree apparently puts you somewhere between Tier 3 or Tier 2. It's why they were rated like that before the downgrades.

It's more like Dialga and Palkia's attacks spawned a bunch of Unowns for unexplained reasons.

Actually no, Dialga and Palkia's respective dimensionns crossed into the Unown's dimensionn, and Dialga and Palkia began fighting inside the dimension

Well to be fair, even if we accepted Mewtwo stomping the Unown it likely wouldn't mean he's a match for Dialga and Palkia.

The diff in power between the Unown and those 2 seems incredible as even fighting in their dimension makes them runaway scared to death. And then we have Darkrai.

Tfw you realize Deoxys created an alternate universe while weakened simply to talk with Max in the anime...

(Still an outlier (I wanna be hopeful), but nice to mention)

@Matthew

Heres a clip that shows a part of the Unowns dream world for Molly- https://youtu.be/Nbwwyp9XokQ

Just a part of it anywho.

Also, Prof Oak notes that the Unown can use thoughts and dreams to literally create new realites and "reshape the world". I know the former is reality warping but the ladder? Effecting the pokemon world may be a feat.

Surviving attacks from Palkia/Dialga, and being used when Arceus was creating one of the trio. It's an outlier though.

Also I vaguely remember but in the anime a single unown was able to manipulate the world of a Lavitars mind while directly inside it. I have to try and find it though.

I mean I said that it would be High 3-A because I thought that you meant defeating a bunch of High 3-A characters. The Unown are Unkown, also as pointed out it would be a rather big outlier

Well, that Pocket Dimension is still big enough to go all the way to the horizon, and have an atmosphere and clouds.

It's hard to quantify but it's at least Tier 7.

Though, to be fair, it wouldn't be the biggest upgrade to a 3-D character we've ever done.

(Cal looks at Castlevania, Chrono Trigger, and Digimon.)
