In the episode "Beauty Marked" Princess Dorathea splits a cloud formation.

Here's the calc https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/U...y_Phantom_Calc:_Friar_Tuck_Didn't_Do_Anything

However the calc uses the standard distance due to its real size being unknown. However Dorathea's realm contains a sun, which is being blocked out by the massive cloud formation that's keeping the realm itself frozen in the dark ages. When she splits the clouds, the sunlight beams down and time begins to move forward.

Since the realm has a Sun, the cloud formation covers the realm so no light can shine and keeps time from moving forward in the realm. Dorathea even states "In this realm, all time stands still" and right before she splits the cloud formation she says "Time to take this realm out of the dark ages". So shouldn't the calc be updated?, The cloud formation needs to be increased to a size big enough to cover the realm which contains a sun.

If anyone wants to see the episode, here it is. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x59m3n1 (You can watch the whole thing but the feat happens at 24:20)

I have no idea how to calculate something like that, but here's a shot.

Apparently the sun illuminates about 50% of the Earth's area, so 29,743.2 km^2.

29,743.2 / pi = 9,467.5 km

9,467.5 = 97.30 km

9,467.5 * 8 = 75,740 km^3 = 7.574e+13 m^3 * 1.003 = 7.596722e+13 kg

9,467.5 km / 14s = 676,250 m/s

7.596722e+13 * 0.5 * 676,250^2 = 1.7370439e+25 J

idk a way to calculate the low-end of sun being blocked out by clouds though, so this is probably a high end.

Darkanine's calc is much better than the solar system sized cloud which LordGriffin seems to be implying.

@Therefir

Is it that bad?. I was just assuming that since the cloud formation is used to block out the sun so that no light can shine throughout the realm, keeping it in the dark ages, that the cloud formation would half to be big enough to cover the entire realm which is big enough to contain a sun.

If Darkanine's calc is correct I'm perfectly fine with that. I don't know anything about this stuff which is why I asked.

I lowballed down to standard size since the verse never specifies if it is a real sun or whatever have you. I'm fine with Darkanine's if others allow it, I'm absolutely against a literally solar system sized cloud.

@Mr. Bambu

If I'm not mistaken we assume it's a real sun unless it's says otherwise. Can you give a good reason why your against a cloud formation of that size?.
