Pokemon Grass-Type Starter Battle 2!: Meganium vs Sceptile (0-3-0)

So to start things off, Meganium is not really a versatile mon in terms of what it can do. Its best win con is Poisoning Scep , then stalling out with ingrain, Grassy Terrain (But that also will heal Scep) and Synthesis, with Growl and Reflect to stall out more, however, there is a problem here, Sceptile also has healing moves, and Normal Poison is to slow to really give any effect of Sceptile that can't be reversed by Healing moves. Meganium has Counter that can give Sceptile a hard time if he is hitted, Meganium can problaby get a free hit due to its passive Emphatic Manip

Yeah, Reflect and Growl will be a pain to deal, but with Super effective moves like X-Scissor, Aerial Ace and Spam Fury Cutter, with Screech and Leer to lower Meganium's defenses to help out with that, combined that Sceptile is more skilled than Meganium, with Agility or Quick Attack to close the gap real quick. Other thing that may give problems to Scep is the fact that Meganium passively calms the opponent, but it also revive plants and give them more vitality, so i think that it also is another form of heal for Scep. Counter can be a pain if he is hitted, but Detect and speed amps should give him some advantage over it

Overall, this is a much close battle than i expected, but i am going with Sceptile with High Diff

Actually, plant type pokémon are immune to poison powder. Sceptile FRA otherwise.

Your right, it's still only 4 for Sceptile.
