Pet Discussion

Sometimes I wonder about getting another dog, but I'm unsure I'm not lazy enough to care for it properly.

i had a sphinx cat a long while ago. It was very nice. It liked kneading and creating nests for itself using different things. It liked waking me up by sniffing my mouth. It liked going up to sleep on me and trying to stand on my crotch as i desperately tried to prevent a painful outcome. Good times.

I've had two cats since childhood. A mix between Russian Blues and some other breed, I think (We got them at a shelter, Idfk what they are lol).

Their both old now, and only one of them is really all that affectionate, but I love them so much.

Dogs are easy mode. Just give them food and they will commit several war crimes for you.
Cats on the other hand take time. Slow and painful.
Naw my dog is set to ultra nightmare since I'm 99% sure he has legit brain damage from when we rescued him.

Oof. My cat never got used to us perfectly but it had a good life with us until we moved countries and gave her to some nice dominican lady.

My Boi has acclimated nicely to me despite his... physical and mental issues. I don't think I could ever give him away to anybody else tbh.

I thought the same, however that quirky cat game that released this summer changed my mind.
Nice. Though, most cats are def harder to take care of than dogs. Mine is scared shitless from any loud sound and bolts away.

Sounds like one of my cats. (Yes I also have cats). It is a rare instance when she allows me to come within a foot of her.

Cats are in a way similar to humans. Dogs give you unconditional love but cats need more bonding to warm up to you.
Another thing about cats is how self sufficient they are. Dogs need a ton of training and if it's big it needs long walks, more food ect. On the other hand cats just need to be tought to poop in a box and they need affection and that's basically it. You've got yourself a friend.

It takes time, and for the most part, I just let my cat vibe. I think it took a couple years, but she feels comfortable to sleep when I'm near.

Basically what mine does, except she hasn't gotten much comfortable, which is probably something I'm doing wrong.

My ****** old cat is as affectionate as a dog fr. The moment I sit down on my couch he just waddles over and lays on his back. Very cute, but he smells like shit lol.

My other, less fat old cat runs on some kinda clock or something. She'll literally only approach me after midnight, and ONLY if I'm inside my basement and ONLY if I'm alone. If I fulfill all those requirements I can consistently pet her. But if not she literally just hides until meal time.

Meh, mine feels comfortable when I'm sitting in a single spot and not thrashing or walking around. It's fine for me, since I am mostly on my computer doing something.

Naw bruh that's some demon type shit.
naw fr bruh. Like I can literally go most of the day without seeing her, but the moment I sit down in my basement for some midnight GAMING, she'll come running.

Tho it might be because my cat absolutely despises my father, so she might just be waiting for him to fall asleep lol.

Naw bruh she watching you. She wants you're flesh.

Oh yeah, speaking of cats killing things, my cat has a kill-count of, like, 2 birds and 3 rats. All of which were either presented to me or my dad.

One of my cats who spends her existence outside plops a bunch of rats and birds and shit on the doorstep as well lol. She on that hunting grindset. Funny part is that me and her are also pretty tight.

I was going to go in-depth about why I prefer dogs to cats, but in retrospect, it might be a bit too controversial.

So I'll just say I prefer dogs.
