Well Abel can easily one shot his main form with void manip and is higher and he has AP. And if Oyrx dosen't have any resistances to it Abel can probably kill his true form with conceptual manipulation

Oryx does resist alot of what Abel is packing but so does Abel. I'm not sure yet, but if Abel has the higher AP I see him taking it.

The main resistance negating property of Taking is that the vast majority of beings affected do it willingly and of their own volition, meaning that resistance just doesn't matter. Oryx can still force it on people, which uses Sword Logic resistance negation rather than it's own afaik.

I'm fairly certain that Oryx's resistance negation is well above baseline, especially for Taking since it comes directly from The Deep which itself is far, far, far greater than anything in Destiny, including this Oryx.

I am refering to that yes. There is additional info for it elsewhere, like how it reduces things to the "perfect shape", removing fears, inhibitions, and emotions as it goes.

No idea how large the potency chain for SMT Demons are but it's bound to be huge if fodder Demons and negate resistences. Idk.

The resistances chain apparently goes back to 8-C tier. But i need to ask, does the target need to be erased first?

It wouldn't need to. I mean yeah but Oryx has basic existence erasure. infinitely weaker 2-A demons can erase from even use nonexistence erasure, get hit with it and be fine. Abel would be immune to the ability

Resistance Negation is from Almighty attacks, which very few Demons even have at all. Additionally, if Oryx Takes Abel, the next Abel is now fighting himself and Oryx with his powers.

I'm not talking about that. If Oryx dosen't have the proper means to erase Abel then he can't use the ability on him in the first place.

Oryx doesn't need to erase Abel? If he Takes him, which is passive btw, Oryx gains his powers and the original, now Taken, Abel is still there.

Almight Attacks aren't the only resistence negation abilities in SMT. If 8-C demons have it I'm pretty sure the 2-C to 2-A to High 2-A demons will with their extreme reality warping.

If what you're implying is that resisting one part of Taking makes it not work at all, it's actually the opposite way around.

That's the side effect of Taking/the Taken Blight, not the actual ability itself, which has like 6 more things than just EE.

It literally says they need to be erased and then resurrected to be controlled by the Oryx. How is that a side effect? The 6 other abilities are defo after they've been resurrected.

that is one part of the multi-step process of Taking, and even if it did require that it's still backed up by Taking's natural resistance negation and that of Sword Logic.

All it says is that EE is a part of Taking

No it says taking starts with EE. Then they are brought back and '''that''' is when Oryx controls them. It doesn't say "EE is a side effect of taking" it literally starts with EE.
