One Piece: Hakuba's Speed

Honestly, I think it is much more a question about skill than an actual amp, so I think it would be better to just nuke the 2x amp entirely than extend it.

I'm not going to argue this point with you because you clearly have not read the manga if you're saying that Hakuba doesn't get faster or stronger. I'll wait for input from knowledgable members or staff.

Not what I am saying, even this scan you sent further proves my point. He doesn't get stronger or faster when he sleeps (Hakuba appears) He becomes twice as skilled with the sword.

So yeah, I think it would be better to nuke the multiplier entirely.
The word Skill in one piece is treated synonymous with strength/overall power level most of the time.

And we can see with Hakuba it's in reference to his speed as when he activates it he just gets massively faster.

I support Cavendish being given a "higher as Hakuba" rating for his statistics including speed, but I'm against a direct multiplier for either his strength or his speed as neither is specified to be the case by either Bastille or the Vivre Card.

I am fine with that.

Sword skill includes both and that is proven from how he fights in the manga, so I disagree with disregarding the multiplier.

I’m not a fan of this thread. Far higher speed is okay, but the 2x is a reach especially with our strict rules.
Issue with that is Hakuba's speed is what is mostly highlighted. "Hakuba is twice as strong as Cavendish" is a cool statement that includes power, but "stronger" isn't an exclusive term, especially when contextualized. The Vivre Card supports this saying that his sword combat doubled in potency.

Do some literal 20 second research. The thread that accepted his multiplier translated the raws and got a direct 2x for strength. Stop tryna remove things without doing research.

not that I disagree or don't believe you but the translated raws are not in the original OP, I think the link probably broke since it's been almost 6 years since that CRT. Can we get it retranslated by a translated helper or anybody who knows how to translate

in regards to speed though, I disagree.

It got translated this month

You wanna say he's doubled in every stat?

NGL the translation supports the Vivre Card translation that refers to his sword skills, so im not sure if I even agree with an AP multiplier

It does not say sword skill in the vivrecard...

In this case, it's straight up referring to his attack power via his swords
夢遊病を患い、眠るとつじんかくあらわ別人格、ハクバ』が現れ、 こんじつりょくばい剣の実力も倍になる・・・!!

He sleepwalks, and when he sleeps, another personality, Hakuba, appears, doubling the power of his sword...!
(As that's what he uses to fight. It's basically the same way here, referring to Zoro's power/ability with a sword and not actual skill)

It's very different to this, where it's actually talking about swordsmanship/skill

Vivrecard = 2x attack power

The manga says he's 2x the fighter basically... Which can be interpreted as overall in stats

Which gets further supported when Hakuba outspeeds everyone in the coliseum which he didn't do before...

I'm still currently neutral on the 2x the fighter bit... I don't fully remember everything about base cavandish

Yeah that is pretty much the argument in the OP as in-context it's pretty clear that 2x the fighter is in reference to his speed as well since Bastille was specifically talking about the "Slicing Winds" of Rommel and about how they didn't know who it was due to Hakuba's speed.
