Nuclear Fission & Nuclear Fusion

How much power can these two processes be at minimum as a basis for destructive capacity?

I heard that self-sustaining nuclear fusion required temperatures in the tens or hundreds of millions of degrees centigrade to occur on Earth, but certain conditions like the intense gravity of a star's core lower that requirement somewhat

I was asking because of a character from Archie Megama Verse having a "Nuclear Reactor Core" I don't know which process it uses, but I do know that Nuclear Power helps at least 20 to 30% of the United States energy resources in fuctioning. It's probably not fusion, though, it probably has to do with splitting atoms instead.
