Ninjago Discussion Thread

you guys just don't care about making ninjago accurate you just want the highest possible stats it can get
i know that now

Someone who skipped hundreds of episodes shouldn't be talking about "accuracy in Ninjago" but oh well, he sure knows more about consistancy than liars knowledgable supporters does😂

yeah...that was before they got told to be more strict with UES standards
with how things are right now, no crt is gonna get accepted
The standards themselves never changed btw. Verses are just getting re-evaluated, and what I presented are some of the requirements to qualify to begin with

What is the difference between Draconus form and Dragon Form
Draconus is a form powered by Draconus Energy (the Awakened Elemental of Energy). It represents Lloyd’s second True Potential, which can be shared with and accessed by other Elemental Masters through their connection to him.

Unlike the Draconus Form, the Dragon Form is powered by Golden Power/Energy. It is a form that can be used by any Elemental Master who possesses one of the Four Elements of Creation, or by an individual who has dragon blood.

kind of confused as to why sensei can just enter the underworld when mortals can't, wondering if thats a plot hole or if there's something more to it
There are places between the Realms where the Ethereal Divide is tin so Wu used one to get to the Underworld. The Ninja can also travel to the Underworld throught the Divide (the weird tunnel with crystals you saw) but normaly the Underworld is an afterlife along with the Cursed Realm and the Departed Realm, which is why mortals normally can't go there with special means

finished s1, moved pretty fast but was still mostly enjoyable outside of kai's little jealousy of llyod occisanolly and wu kind of being dumb and not just letting the ninja take out pyhtor. Zane is probably my favorite out of the bunch tbh. Liked his little arc and just generally being a chill but slightly weird dude.

That aside not a lot of notable feats this season

Finished s2, liked it better than s1. Everything related to Lloyd was pretty good tbh. Really liked the conflict between him and garmadon. I also liked how this season recontextualized previous lore. Speaking of which a lot of good feats and scaling this season. The star lvl feat was kind of weird so at the moment I’ll say Lloyd and the others are like continent lvl at bare minnuim

There's other Star feats that occurs before S1 but they're in books

Hmmm, should I read them now or later? And if yes then what’s the name of them?
You could read them now since it will allow you to understand certain events and elements of future seasons later on.

In order:
Spinjitzu Brothers (mostly available on Wayback Machine or media projects) -> Shatterspin Comics (Same as the other one) -> Strike of the Serpentine Comics (You find it on Batcavebiz) -> Ninjago show from Pilots - S6 -> Day of the Departed -> Dark Island Trilogy (can find it on Wayback Machine/Media projects) -> S7-S10 -> Garmadon Comics (Can read it on Batcavebiz) -> S11-S15/S16 (depending on if u consider the Island a season or not)

But the Star stuff is mainly on the 1st 2 book series mentionned, where one has direct star creation feats and the other is the Lycan King damaging the Sun, who is also a living being embodying it, offscreen irc

Yeah I'd actually recommend you watch/read everything in order of release but uhhh you already went that path I guess.

Finished s3, I have some mixed feels towards it. I absolutely hated the nya,jay and Cole love triangle thing. The overlord spider thing was kind of underwhelming to me tbh. The technoblades sucked and for whatever reason the elemental swords and dragon are just gone. Besides that I liked most of the season, Zane was goated as usual. I liked llyod and garmadon doing there training side quest thing. Garmadon was honestly just good the whole season. I liked the python reveal though idk how I feel about him just sacrificing himself for the overlord. But I think for the most part I enjoyed this season

Finished s4, it was fine I liked Gammadion getting more screen time along with the deeper explanation into the elemental powers .Kai getting some spotlight was also cool. I also liked that zane has come back but idk how to feel about this whole titanium ninja stuff plus his returning was kind of overshadowed by everything else going. I'm also still confused as to how him and pixel even got to chen's island in the first place. Still hate the jay, cole and nya love triangle. I also don't like how they handled the whole energy dragon thing. Like the characters never talk about it until zane dose it. I also don't know how to feel about the serpentine retcon tbh. It's not bad but with how the ninja talked about them in s1 they sounded way more ancient then simply being sealed away in there parents generation. Overall this season was fine

In Shadow of Ronin game, which is spin-off canon, Ronin (character it would appeared in S5) was approached by Clouse for a capture and deliver job for Master Chen, only to later realize the intended victims was the newly-rebuilt Zane and Pixel

Tbf series itself does not make a good job at explaining it, but I think it’s a fair assumption that someone with Chen’s influence would be able to find his parts, and spin-offs just elaborate on how.

Wasn’t it kind of sidelined this season?

I think they thought it was Lloyd-exclusive ability (especially since he talks about it like it’s normal), likely because he already had Golden Dragon which everyone saw, and since Energy is basically nerfed Golden Power, his dragon also “became” green. Or something like that.

Elemental Dragons are not same Dragons seen in Seasons 1-2. They are manifestation of Elemental Power, while S1-2 dragons were actual living beings with their own race.
Overall this season was fine
Neat, glad you’re enjoying it!

Forgot to respond to this.

Ig, just seems a bit convoluted to me

Not anymore then it was in s3, it was part of jay and Cole’s whole conflict in there fight

Talking about serpentine

Also finished s5, I mostly enjoyed it. My only main gripe was the other elemental masters just not being mentioned at all. That and the ninja losing there powers agian. Besdies that pretty good. I liked morrow as a villian and his death scene was pretty good to. Also Cole becoming a ghost is has honestly made him a way more interesting character to me. Out of all the ninja until s5 he kind of felt like the most bland. I also liked how Kai was trying the most to look out for llyod. Ronin is a nice addition to the series and nya becoming the water ninja was pretty neat. Best season thus far

Finished s6, pretty good season though I’m not sure how I feel about the ending in terms of making sense.besdies that Ithought this season was pretty good. Nadankhan was a great villian, jay and nya got a lot of development this season which was nice. And got a bit more lore involving the realms. Honestly I kind of wish they stuck to the revenge aspect of nadankhans motivations instead of just going power hungry. Because none of the ninja know about the destruction of his realm.besdies that good season

My fav season, i was buying that seasons toys so much back then, totally nostalgic

Finished s7, It wasn't anything crazy but it was fine, the twins aren't nadakhan but they were entertaining villains. Cole's earth hand stuff wasn't really talked about much, in the sense of his powers evolving seemly. Hopeful that gets touched on more. Idk how I feel about llyod's struggle with being leader since he already was in season 5. Him becoming a sensei I get but being a leader shouldn't be a problem. The new samurai x is interesting but I'm betting it's pixel. I liked how this season didn't complete forget about the elemental dragons(just to sell more toys for the new vehicles) and actually brought up the fear/doubt stuff from season 4. Kai's conflict with his parents was pretty good though I feel like them being captured by krux is a bit contrived, because if they have there powers just jump him and put him in jail or something. Like did they lose there elemental powers from working on the timeblades permentaly? Because if so them being forced by krux to work for him makes more sense. But ya overall this season was fine, bit of a step down from 6 imo.
