I do have a question as to what exactly Muso Tensei actually is. Like, does he become "nothing" because he's depressed or smth and that's why Naruto can't hit him? And how does he not bulldoze the whole series with that technique- who can opposite him?

You know Kamui, right? Well, MT is a jacked up version of that with none of the weaknesses, Ken kinda slips into some sort of parallel dimension (whether this is what's physically happening or just a figure of speech it's unclear) and he leaves absolute nothingness in the "dimension" he's in normally, you can't see him, you can't sense him or perceive in any way (the guidebook says that it "cannot be grasped"), he doesn't have a soul, doesn't have thoughts etc but he can still do everything he can do normally and attack as if he were actually there, it doesn't even have a time limit or consume any ki or stamina, it's just a "state of being" he can enter and he can do so with his unconscious mind, which in-verse is much, MUCH faster than his own perception speed. It also allows him to assimilate the abilities of anyone he fights (even non-martial art stuff) and lets him get stronger the sadder he is (it's weird but it is what it is)

For one, he basically DOES bulldoze through the series; he kinda goes out of his way not to use it, either because he doesn't want to kill his opponent or because he's trying to get information out of him. The two times he used it the first one his opponent also had MT so they cancelled each other out and the second dude could literally (and I quote) "destroy nothingness" so it countered MT, other than that it's outright stated that nobody can do anything about MT in-verse (the guidebook straight up says "It cannot be attacked or be defended against").

Thanks for explaination, so essentially he gets to have his cake (of being intangible/nothing) and eat it to (can still attack… somehow), that’s some Gunvolt Prevasion level shit. And also he can copy powers and get stronger over time because he’s just that depressed lmao.

well, there goes the war. I’ll leave this thread up instead of closing it just in case someone really does have a counterpoint
 
Actually would putting him up against more haxy guys like idk Madara make it any closer? Or would Genjutsu just not work?
 
the Fist of the North Star profiles are in a terrible state rn (especially with the keys oml), but the abilities are not out of date.

And as mentioned above, Naruto doesn't even have anything against Muso Tensei's NEP so he can't even hit him. That, and the skill gap is huge.
