Name me a cartoon and I'll give my honest, unbiased opinion about it

Anyways do Arthur, low-key I have that show as a top 10 cartoons of all time. Likely easily too.

Might be Top 3 icl, I'm running through it and there's really not many shows which have a G.O.A.T. case like it does.

but if you said that, would you be wrong?
john-cena-hmm-thinking-2019-wwe-raw-meme-john-cena.gif

No, I don't mean from your perspective, I'm just talking generally. Between animation, storytelling, characters, entertainment factor, hell even music, does Arthur have any flaws?
Animation - It gets the job done, but ngl some of the character designs look a bit weird

Storytelling - Haven't really watched the show, but I've seen everyone praise the storytelling of the show, and how it teaches lessons to kids in a mature way

Characters - Like I said, I haven't really watched the show, but the only characters I remember are Arthur and D.W. (the latter for completely negative reasons)

Entertainment Factor - Pretty sure a 4-year-old will have fun with the show

Music - The show has music?

I mean... I would say they did a good job for humanoid animals, especially in those later seasons.
the latter for completely negative reasons
You'd have to take my word for this but D.W. hate is overplayed, plus she has character development. She's way less bratty S16 and on.
Pretty sure a 14-year-old will have fun with the show
Real, cuz the last time I remember watching an episode with my nieces sometjme after the finale aired and it was an entertaining watch. Hell I might have been 15 idk.

The show has music?
Not much but it does have a banger opening performed by Ziggy Marley (a legend in his own right) the son of the greatest reggae artist of all time, Bob Marley (I'd be lying if I said there wasn't any competition though.)

There's nothing Arthur does bad. There might be some parts of it that aren't impeccable but it's a technically flawless show.

ok k.o. let's be heroes
One of the few modern cartoon shows that are actually worth your time and can actually hold their own with some of the classic shows from the 90s, 2000s, and early 2010s. Shocker😱

I love how expressive the animation is. I always prefer when the animators experiment with the animation as opposed to being strictly on model. Watching the characters move is already fun to see, and it gives the show, as well as the characters, life and personality that's distinct from other shows.

K.O. is a great character, and tbh, he can be seen as a role model for a lot of kids that watch him grow and develop throughout the show. Underrated protagonist.

Enid is cool and relatable in the sense that there are people who try and put up a facade to hide their internal feelings, and I feel like a lot of people can see themselves in Enid.

Rad is cool, Carol's fun, Wilhamena is hot. Basically all of the heroes are fun and easy to root for.

Villains like Professor Venomous and Lord Boxman are very underrated, especially Boxman. He does a damn good job at making us want to see him fail.

Also, the music is great.

Can we also mention the amount of cool crossover episodes the show had?

Captain Planet, Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts, Scooby-Doo, and of course, Sonic and Crossover Nexus. This show is also a love letter to video games, so if you're a video game nerd, you're going to like this show.

making fiends
Have not watched.

Kim possible
This show is on the Mount Rushmore of Disney cartoons along with Phineas & Ferb and Gravity Falls, and it's on my Mount Rushmore of girl cartoons.

Kim Possible is one of the best female protagonists in any cartoon and I'm standing on that. Her subtle character development during seasons 1-3 is fantastic, and even ignoring her character development, she's genuinely a fun character to watch with a great personality.

Ron Stoppable is also one of the best written sidekicks in any cartoon. Not only is he genuinely funny, but he's more than just comic relief. He actually gets character development during season 4, and his eventual romance with Kim doesn't feel forced at all and it feels earned.

Rufus is a king and no one can tell me otherwise.

Shego is one of the baddest bitches in animation.

Drakken is a great and hilarious villain.

Fantastic show, and one of my favorites to watch.

ruby gloom
Haven't watched it

max and ruby
Solid show.

Even though I joked it about earlier, I do think Max & Ruby has a very realistic depiction of the little brother, older sister dynamic.

You know it's good when people to this day still debate over who was in the wrong between the both of them (it was Ruby, but Max repeating only one word throughout the episodes can get annoying).

Cool lil show.

wow wow Wubbzy
It's aight.

My favorite part of the show were the musical numbers and visuals that came with the music (here are some examples), and I do like how the music is used to teach kids lessons in very creative ways.

Other than that, Wubbzy is cool, and everyone else is aight.

wonder pets
Still have love for this show.

Linny, Tuck, and Ming-Ming are iconic, and the music is iconic too.

Of course, the music isn't goated like other shows (I'll get to goated music soon), but when the phone rings, there are times I randomly say "The phone! The phone is ringing!"

And let's not forget the iconic "What's gonna work? Teeeeaaamwork!"

That's how much this show has stuck with me.

the Backyardigans
My toddler GOATS

Yeah, I made a joke earlier about the show, but the show is genuinely very creative and it does a great job at getting kids immersed into whatever the Backyardigans are doing.

Whether they are racing around the world, pretending to be pirates, finding out mysteries, going to Mars, going to the core of the Earth, the show somehow stayed interesting.

As a kid, Austin was always my favorite, but now I think Pablo's the best out of the five.

And I don't care what y'all say, Backyardigans has peak music (at least to the standards of toddler shows, but some of the songs are genuinely good).

Love this show.

blues clues
Another one of my favorite toddler shows.

Blue is goated and she's one of the best cartoon dogs of all time. Yes. I said it.

Steve is also goated and a street legend. He can host the cookout for all I care. He's up there with John Cena as one of the greatest white men of all time.

Something I want to mention is how Steven low-key had hearing problems💀 The kids would literally yell at him "A CLUE!" and Steve will say sum bs like "Huh? A dude?" Bro had issues fr

little bill
I remember watching this show as a kid, but ngl, I can't recall a single thing that happened in this show and I have not watched it since I was a kid.

is Scooby Doo even mentioned here?

if yes, then Ducktales, if it's a series because I'm like 50% sure it's a movie

oh, how could I not remember

Batman: Brave and the Bold

I dont think I ever watched Batman animated series but I guess that's all for now

Scooby Doo
Might get some people mad, but this franchise is very overrated imo

Is it iconic? Yes. However, let me break it down.

Besides her being hot, I do not care for Daphne or Fred. Like, at all. Remove the two of them, and the quality doesn't change much.

Plus, if we're speaking on shows, the only Scooby-Doo show that people consistently praise, and really, the Scooby show that aged the best was Mystery Incorporated. I almost never see anyone talk about any of the other Scooby shows.

Aside from a few special movies/episodes I like, such as the Johnny Bravo, Courage, WWE (I'm biased), and a few others, there's nothing that sticks out from this franchise.

Ducktales
Haven't watched, though I'll give it's respect as one of the most influential cartoons in western media.

Batman: Brave and the Bold
My memories of it are vague.

Gravity Falls
I already reviewed this one.

Star vs. the Forces of Evil.
😬

Talk about a fall off.

I'll try and keep this one a short, because what I'm going to say is basically going to be what everyone has already said about the show for the past 5-6 years.

I think it goes without saying that seasons 1-2 were great. Star and Marco are great protagonists, and they bounce off each other so well. Good and colorful animation, nice supporting casts, solid villains, etc.

It seemed like this show was on the verse of becoming a Mount Rushmore Disney cartoon, along with Kim Possible, Phineas & Ferb, and Gravity Falls.

Then of course, seasons 3 and 4 happened.

I'll be the first one to say Marco and Jackie should've stayed together instead of going for this forced romance between Star and Marco. Marco came off as really unlikeable during his relationship with Jackie, who btw, I think is an underrated side character who really deserved better. Hell I would've even took Tomco.

Star's character gets butchered in the later seasons. She treats Tom horribly, and she's just an awful girlfriend to him.

And of course, the end of the series when Star commits genocide.

I wouldn't really call this show as a whole ass, but I wouldn't really recommend it, because seasons 3 and 4 taint the show a lot, and shows with overarching stories that become ass in its later seasons never really age well.

Here are some I can name to scratch that reviewing itch:
The Secret Saturdays
Ever After High (Pleaaaaaase don't break my heart with this one. Got me through COVID and adored it ever since)
Looney Tunes (Genuinely surprised no one asked this one)
Sym-biotic Titan
Chowder
Back at the Barnyard
El Tigre
Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia
Xiaolin Showdown
W.I.T.C.H
Winx Club
aaaand
Jurassic Park: Camp Cretaceous
Just realized that Divine is no longer here to suggest shows to me...

Curious

The Secret Saturdays
Ngl this is one of the CN shows I'd like to rewatch, but based off memory, the show wasn't anything crazy.

Ever After High
Would I break your heart if I said I haven't watched it?

Looney Tunes
This is going to be somewhat similar to my Tom & Jerry review, so this one might be a tad short.

The show is filled to the brim with iconic characters we know and love since their inception, some standouts being Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Sylvester, Tweety, Yosemite Sam, Foghorn Leghorn, Roadrunner, Wile E. Coyote, and many more

And of course, the show is peak comedy. I can stop typing, go on YouTube, watch a Looney Tunes clip, and I can guarantee that I will laugh.

Sym-biotic Titan
Y'all finna crucify me, but I gotta rewatch this show before giving my opinion again. I remember the show being great.

Now this is something I can talk about.

At first, I used to think this show was peak, but as time went by, I just thought it was good, but nothing special. But now, I've found a middle ground and I think this show is great.

I think the overall cast of characters are pretty decent. I enjoy Chowder, Shnitzel, Mung, and Gazpacho, though I found Panini and Truffles to be annoying. But overall, I think the characters are decent and pretty funny.

I think the show's animation is quite cool and colorful to look at. The show definitely does stand out compared to other CN shows.

I also think the meta humor aged extremely well and are some of the most creative scenes I've seen in any cartoon. I will never forget the scene where they all of their budget and their IRL selves had to work to get enough money to restore the animation, as well as the scene where the characters were self-aware of the CN logo.

Overall, I think this show is pretty damn funny and it's aged pretty well.

Back at the Barnyard
Yeah I didn't get this one.

I'm going to keep this one a bit brief.

I found the animation to be weird and almost ugly at times, the show wasn't that funny, and I found the characters to be annoying.

If you want to watch a Nick show based off a movie with CG animation that's actually good, then watch Jimmy Neutron.

W.I.T.C.H
This show is towards the top of my list of cartoons I've been planning to watch. I will say W.I.T.C.H. probably has the most underrated theme song of all time

Winx Club
This show is on my Mount Rushmore of girls cartoons.

Did the show take a huge turn for the worse around halfway through its run? Yes

However, I gotta acknowledge seasons 1-4 of Winx Club. That's genuinely one of the best girls cartoons I've watched.

The worldbuilding is top tier. Winx Club does a great job at introducing its audience to different places in its universe, and they actually get explored properly.

The main cast are also iconic, and virtually all of them have character arcs/developments. My personal favorite out of the 7 (yes I'm counting Roxy) was Musa. Her story hit me the most, and I thoroughly enjoyed her dynamic with Aisha.

Also, the romance was actually well-written. All of the relationships between the main cast and The Specialists feel earned, even the toxic ass Riven/Musa relationship felt earned towards the end of season 2. I think my favorite couple as Tecna/Timmy, as in my opinion, that relationship was the best developed, and it's so satisfying when they finally get together, and it reaches a great lesson about being honest with your feelings and Tecna/Timmy are great representation of people who struggle with emotions.

And of course, how can I forget the villains? The Trix were definitely my favorite (because they're hot, especially Darcy). I thought the concept of "What if the typical mean girls you'd meet in high school wanted to take over the world?" was pretty cool, at least, that's how I saw it. And in season 1, they genuinely felt like a threat, but I hated how they just ended up being sidekicks to other villains.

I thought Darkar was solid. I think he got the job done well enough, and I thoroughly enjoyed the season 2 finale, so there's that.

Valtor is the best villain in Winx Club and he's unironically one of the greatest cartoon villains of all time. His calm, but almost menacing voice, the way he can easily manipulate anyone to do his bidding, how he was always presented as far superior to the Winx, his powers, and overall aura is just chef's kiss.

The Wizards of the Black Circle were decent, though I really only found Ogron and Duman to be the most interesting. Though I do think they were necessary, as we needed new and fresh villains, and The Trix were there for the past 3 seasons.

Also, the music is peak.

I hate how this show was completely butchered from seasons 5-8. Everything felt more kiddified compared to the more mature storytelling we had in the earlier seasons, all the main characters regressed back to teenagers and were back in Alfea instead of being young adults teaching the young generation (Roxy), the villains were pathetic, the continuity and writing were a inconsistent mess, the transformations, while some looked good and had overall decent concepts, were executed awfully and some were just throwaways to sell more merch.

There are quite a few more stuff I could've mentioned about this show, but to sum it up, seasons 1-4 is one of my favorite shows to watch, and I despise how much Nick ruined Winx Club. I just hope the reboot that comes out next year will be good.

Wander over Yonder
Another show I need to rewatch, though I remember this show being pretty fun.

I think I'm contractually obligated to give you this one: The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

Was never a movie guy, plus I more specifically meant shows.

That being said, I haven't watched these movies.

Invader Zim - Pretty solid show. Fun characters, a sick ass artstyle, as well as cool character designs and animation. This show often gets overlooked nowadays, but I think it's a top 10 Nicktoon for sure.

Billy and Mandy - Honestly one of the funniest shows I've watched. The 3 main characters bounce off each other so well, and they create a fantastic dynamic. The show also has a great and recognizable artstyle and animation. One of the best CN shows.

Well it's profiles suck and I'll be ****** before I start trying to fully research a show in a power scaling sense lol...

So rework it's profiles~

Totally Spies
What a weird show.

But for some reason, I couldn't help but love it, and it's weird how much longevity this show has.

I really like the 3 main spies, and oddly enough, they're some of the most iconic girl groups in girls cartoons. I personally liked Sam the most, though Alex is a really close second.

Jerry is also cool, but then again, who doesn't like Jerry?

Though let's be fr. Most of y'all are here for me to talk about the weird fetishes this show just randomly had.

Totally Spies can be pretty in-your-face at times with their fetishes, but unlike many other shows that just shove fetishes in your face (ahem TTG), TP is weirdly creative with their fetishes, and they don't just hyperfixate on one or two very specific fetishes, and there's many different types of fetishes that can definitely awake something in a man or a woman.

And oddly enough, despite very much being a product of its time (2000s French-Canadian cartoon with a bunch of weird implications), the show surprisingly has longevity, and it still resonates with people today. In fact, the show already has a reboot/revival that come out earlier this year, and it will be airing on CN soon.

Despite being one of the weirdest shows I've watched, I can't help but get immersed in how ridiculous the show is. Great show overall.

The Magic Schoolbus
This one should be fairly simple.

If I were to ever have a kid, and I wanted him/her to watch some that will improve their education, this is the show I will automatically put them on.

The show does a very good job at teaching kids lessons about animals, Earth, the human body, etc., and they do it in very fun and creative ways. The characters (especially the teacher), are surprisingly fun to watch for a show primarily aimed at 3-6 year old kids.

I also liked how vibrant and expressive the bus was despite being just an inanimate object.

Pretty damn good educational kids show. Show this to your son or daughter if you want them to actually learn something.

Foster's Home
I believe I already reviewed this one.

Some of y'all might get mad, but it's just a solid show for me.

The artstyle, designs, and atmosphere honestly do a lot of the carrying for me. I have a really fun time with the show aesthetically, but when I actually sit the down and watch the show properly, it's not anything spectacular.

Mac is cool, Frankie is cool, contrary to popular belief I think Bloo is fairly funny, the comedy is solid. The show just isn't all that memorable for me, especially when you compare it to Craig McCracken's other work.

An enjoyable, but mostly unremarkable show overall.
@Nierre

when i first read the totally spies opinion i was like, "fetishes? what is this guy talking about, i dont remember seeing anything like fetishes on there" but looking back a second time i definitely do remember some weird episodes.. 😭

anyway that show was real solid, i have good memories associated with it. I'm surprised you've never seen MAD, it was on Cartoon Network
