No source was given in that thread for Starswirl going missing three thousand years ago. I have searched and found no such statement on the internet. In fact, that would be impossible, because Starswirl was with Celestia when she first started raising the sun, and it was said that she had been doing it for 1111 years. The numbers do not add up. Also, in the s7 finale, it is stated repeatedly that it had been over a thousand years since Staswirl and the pillars went missing, not three thousand.
