Multiplier question

How do we treat canonical statements of a big multiplier such as 100x that seems slightly exaggerated? Would we just disregard it completely or could we allocate a lowballed multiplier based on the context we receive from the multiplier in action?

Both. It largely depends on the context and the reliability of the source, but if the 100x multiplier turns out to be exaggerated or inconsistent, then it's reduced.

It's either reliable or not, there is no middle ground. If it's not reliable then it's not used.
We can’t even subtract from the 100x multiplier in question? Just to clarify from the context, the character involved is indeed amplified just that 100x is far too much of a stretch.

Reducing it wouldn’t be too bad. I’m all for something like that happening since even I know it’s nonsensical. I’m just not sure where it’d land at but for more context, (A) is receiving a rage amp. He goes from not being able to do any meaningful damage to B and B no selling his attacks (I think) to landing a punch that makes B’s face swollen and purple (post rage amp). Does this help with anything?

Yes, it simply reduces the multiplier, that's all. The amount to which it's reduced depends on what's discussed in the CRT.

You need to prove the consistency, aka if only certain characters can match it or it turns the tables over a fight where the x100 lesser powerful form or state was struggling or losing, now can win or overpower whoever was giving them a hard time

Thank you for your input too. Yeah, this does make sense it’s been a while since I read the chapter so I’ll read it again just so I know I’m not giving anyone misinformation and if my memory proves wrong then I’ll let everyone know and just dismiss this idea.

In the multiplier page, smaller multipliers (way below 100x) is fine with just that statement. However, for 100x multiplier, extra proof will be required and any "contradiction" will severely limit the proof of the multiplier. Like, if a character was fighting against someone he's relative or weaker (but not one-shotted gap, i.e., can still survive some hits), uses a form that's suppose to give them 100x multiplier to strength, and the enemy still survives one hit let alone multiple hits, you can basically say goodbye to that multiplier on the site.
