I always thought that exoskeleton is better than endoskeleton protection-vise, yet couldn't test or verify it. So i chosen invertebrate and mammal of about same size for argument.

[Rat was too big. It had same length as Titan Battle, but Rat is squat while Beetle is slender, so he gets crushed. Changed it to Mouse.]

My vote goes for the rat. First, they're larger in weight (40-50 grams vs 450 to 650 grams), which is one of the most decisive factors in animal fights. With the weight advantage, it is unlikely for the beetle to move the rat around much. Second, the mammal has a massive LS advantage, being capable of lifting up to a pound, which would make it capable of easily throwing the beetle around. Lastly, the rat is much more built for fights, commonly fighting with animals of its size, something that's not true with the beetle.

P.S. maybe i should have used Mouse instead? Whatever...

Rat FRA
Titan Beetle being an invertebrate is a disadvantage since the rat can twist its limbs easily to break them

You totally should have. What even is the beetle's wincon?
I wanted a fight between vertebrate and invertebrate of equal mass. With huge mass advantage of Rat, that's too much; this disparity ruins entire point of the fight ("which skeleton is better assuming same size"). Creature with any physiology can beat the crap of anyone, if it's 16 times heavier than it's opponent.

Changing the fight to Mouse.

Make sure to reset the votes since people voted for the rat winning against the beetle, not the mouse.

Well, that still applies to mouse; it's more built for fighting and limbs remain limbs. So i think mouse would still win.

It would only be 100% fair if both invertebrate and vertebrate were also of same ecological niche... Which i don't remember cases of.
