Steve with elytra and a trident can reach at least 1400 km/h during the rain. indicator top left. travel speed?

(ignore cheats, this is for anarchy servers)

Can you show a clip? The fact that you're in creative mode and mentioned "cheats" leaves room for doubt.

around 0:26 0:27

The thing I hate about Minecraft CRTs is that any laws in-game can be broken with commands, cheats, etc. I really don't have a strong opinion; though, if you do show the full progress that you created a new world, retrieve a trident from creative mode, then change back to survival proving that you didn't use any commands, it'll be good. Though considering this is Minecraft, I can't give an agreement based on this.

The clips seem legitimate as far as I can tell, so yeah, I agree. It does take Steve awhile to accelerate to full speed, so maybe something like “up to Supersonic Travel Speed with Riptide Enchantment (by using a Riptide-enchanted trident during rainfall, the player can accelerate up to around 1445.31 km/h or 401.48 m/s)”

It's a bug
ehhhhh I meeeean, can we really say it is a bug if it hasn't been resolved since 2019? Usually Mojang fixes bugs way faster afaik and the post you linked is made by a player, not a dev. Until it is officially regarded as a bug I don't see a reason to assume it is one.

Fair enough
