Where is the scans about how the paint contains body, soul and mind?

• Inorganic Physiology (Type 1): Unlike humans, Toons[2] and toon structures[3] are brought to life and sentience by[4] and made out of[5] magic paint[3] instead of flesh and bone, yet still function just the same as physical matter. Their paint also appears to contain their spirit as well, as when all of Smart Ass's paint was erased under the effects of The Dip, his spirit did not ascend out of him like his fellow Toon Patrol members[1]. Paint is also seen to be the very essence of Toons[3].

Huh... I don't quite understand this thing about sentience, isn't one just drawing a character and the other being the rain melting the rock revealing the character underneath?
