Mewtwo vs Kratos

If Miracle Eye and Mind Hax can work together, then I'mma have to go with my original example and say Mewtwo FRA

Mewtwo's mind hax won't work on Kratos:

1. He can resist a mind hax that affected hundreds of people at the same time (Tisiphone, the Fury's)

2. The guidebooks state Kratos can't succumb to "weak releases" like mindhax

3. The Rage of the Titans sends out a short-burst wave that disrupts mind manipulation when it's activated. This happens in the Kraken fight

And Kratos has counters for a surprisingly big amount of Mewtwo's abilities:

  • Soul Manipulation:Kratos can overpower having his soul taken away.
  • Petrification: Kratos's Golden Fleece can counter energy-based Petrification, and Mewtwo's definitely is.
  • Power Absorption: What type of absorption, exactly? If it's absorbing the power of the people he has already defeated, he needs to defeat Kratos first and Kratos also has the same ability, as i've shown in the life-force post.
  • Space-Time Manipulation Resistance: Depending on how powerful Mewtwo's resistance is, that is an interesting counter to Kratos's own Space-Time Manipulation.
  • Illusion Creation: The Furies have also shown this ability, and Kratos was able to power through it and kill them.
  • Forcefield Creation: How strong is it? When empowering himself with the Power of Sparta, Kratos gains temporary invulnerability and it's enough to override Zeus's strongest attacks temporarily. With the Power of Hope, he is able to tank any attack on the game as well as overriding Fear Zeus, who is far more powerful than Zeus normally, and ifthis calc is to be trusted, Zeus can generate Small-Planet level energy with his death (should be evaluated)
  • Genius Intelligence: Kratos, while by no means a genius, is extremely well-versed in combat, and that's what matters at the end of the day (at least in this fight).
  • Energy Manipulation: The Rage of the Gods from God of War I also manipulated energy, and it granted Kratos infinite magic and invulnerablity. Since that's a NLF, it was able to tank hits from Ares. The Rage of the Titns on God of War II and the Rage of Sparta can also do this, though they do not grant Kratos infinite magic.
  • Fear Manipulation: Fear Zeus, a version of Zeus who embodied fear and tried to use it to kill Kratos, was utterly stomped and tanked after Kratos activated the Power of Hope, which is, to be honest, extremely broken in-universe.
  • Attack Reflection: Kratos's Golden Fleece can reflect almost anything in the game, including Zeus's best attacks.
  • Teleportation: Kratos can react to teleportation.
  • Void Manipulation: What is described in Mewtwo's profile doesn't seem like void-manip. I'm pretty sure Void Manipulation involves existence-erasure. If we count that as a void, the Scourge of Erinys creates a dark void that sucks life-force. It also affects Thanatos, so we know it can also affect high-tiers.
  • BFR: The Blade of Olympus can do that, too., and on a massive scale to boot.
  • Regenerationn:Kratos can regenerate from having his body broken to the point where he can barely stand. And he also regenerated from the Blade of Olympus at the end of GoW III,.

It works on anything that would have a resistance/immunity to Mewtwo's attacks
Right, but how does it work? Because I'd Mewtwo starts with Mind Hax and Not miracle Eye then...

2 more votes for Mewtwo.

But I need more as to how Miracle Eye works? Does it work alongside Mind Hax?

I read that, that doesn't quite answer my question.

So like, Fight Starts: Mewtwo begins with Mind Hax, does Kratos resist it? Or does Miracle eye work along side it and stop it?

Fun fact: In Pokken, Miracle Eye has some "reset" effect, in which after it is used, the last attack reactivates, even if it already hit and dispersed.

For example, Mewtwo uses Hyper Beam. It hits and is gone, but the opponent is still standing. Mewtwo uses Miracle Eye, the very same Hyper Beam resets from halfway, and hits again.

Still don't know if that's a form of causality manipulation...
