for the Shogi game i'll go back to what i said in the topic about Batman and Light. no way to objectively quantify intelligence (especially when it's displayed is very different forms by different characters). i think Meruem would win but it's inconclusive.

What GreatestSin said. Part 1 Naruto was only Supersonic+ at the time. Meruem is Hypersonic+. He can pretty much blitz anyone before they can react.

Did you bother checking the stats?

Orochimaru, Tsunade, Hiruzen, Jiraiya, Itachi, Kisame, Edo-Hashirama, Edo-Tobirama are all Hypersonic+. If you're facing off Part 1 Naruto, that would include Orochimaru's Edo-Tensei Tobirama & Hashirama. Edo-Tensei's cannot be killed through conventional means. Meruem has no way of killing them, so they'd evantually kill Meruem

Hiruzen who is the same speed as Meruem, would do-in Meruem with Shiki Fujin.

^i checked the stats of itachi and orochimaru and there is nothing about them in part 1, all the stats are from early part 2 until the end of the series, furthermore, like i said before, meruem can kill them far before they can activate any jutsu at all :I
