Merlin's projections/Avatars only seem to last while he's sleeping as seen in America. Merlin can use apparitions/shadows like in Babylonia but they won't have any magical energy to use if he's entering their dreams. As Merlin needs to use his magical energy to mess with your dream and mind. As seen in Babylonia when Merlin's shadow only used a few spells and stated that he couldn't really use his Clairvoyance due to using his magical energy to keep Tiamat asleep in a cage of dreams.

The Merlin in Babylon was a legit body of Merlin, not an avatar, last I checked. If Merlin is in Avalon and just dreaming avatars like he normally is, then he has basically an infinite supply of mana due to his environment. NNT Merlin may be able to seal an avatar, but that won't stop Merlin from Just dreaming a new one. Anyway, does NNT Merlin have a counter to Caster Merlin's passive friendship juice?

Charisma is also social influencing, yes, but it is also portrayed as empathy manip. Merlin's friendship juice isn't conventional mind manip, so do you have proof that her resistance would include this kind?

She does have Absolute Cancel though which erases magic completely. So if it's like some passive magic being emitted she could just nullify it. There's also Magic Seal which completely seals magic. She also has an ability called Double Impact where she lowers the resistence of her opponent and then attacks. Apparently she can also remove the effects of magic instantly too.

Iirc summoning the garden of Avalon kinda gives anyone nearby some form of super cancer because the particles in the garden are lethal to those not from the age of gods

Yeah the reason for that is because of the insanely high density of magical energy. All of Avalon is filled with it, so Merlin will basically never need to worry about having enough magical energy for avatars
