Mephiles the Dark vs Iblis

Suppose if Iblis refused to fuse with Mephiles and they had no choice but to fight.

You're right. Also Mephiles can time travel to another timeline and convince Iblis to fuse with him to become Solaris.

If it was a no BS fight to the death where Mephiles couldn't convince him, Iblis is STRONGER. That's literally his entire point. But with supirior intelligence and speed I think this goes to Mephiles the Dark.

I played Sonic 06 and trust me, Mephiles was harder to beat.

It doesn't matter if a boss is harder to beat than another, so The Smashor's point stands, even if you didn't play the game.

Iblis was just nearly impossible to permanently put down..Silver beat him several times in his future. (once in the boss fight, and then implied he had done it a lot before)

Iblis is stronger than Mephiles because Iblis literally embodies Solaris' power, while Mephiles embodies Solaris' mind. Power > mind as we all know.

Mephiles does have a lot of advantages due to his abilities but Iblis has the durability to deal with Mephiles.

Iblis is stronger than Mephiles because Iblis literally embodies Solaris' power, while Mephiles embodies Solaris' mind. Power > mind as we all know.

IMO the battle can go either way 50 - 50 depending on the circumstances.

In Silver's ending they had to send Iblis into another dimension due to his Regenerationn making him impossible to kill. both characters have Regenerationn making this a hard choice on who wins and unless Iblis has an attack that's even remotely light based I'm pretty sure Mephiles would take this with keen intelligence, seeing as he manipulated the cast of Sonic across two hundred years and is the Mind of Solaris compared to Iblis being the brawn of Solaris it may not take Mephiles long to realise he'll have to aim for Iblis's head.
