So ive been wondering why is Oblivion a higher tier than Death when he is an aspect of Death and (from what ive read and heard) equal in power?

Its literally on the marvel website in the first paragraph about his history, and in a comic but id have to find it.

"Oblivion is a cosmic abstract entity and another aspect of Death, a personification of death." from Oblivion's profile

Can't find the scan currently but I think this is the comic Quasar#25

Marvel tried to make Death and Oblivion different sides of the same coin, but this doesn't particularly make any sense, as Death is just the absence of life within the multiverse, whereas Oblivion is the embodiment of nonexistence that transcends time and space completely.
