Confusion

Martian Manhunter currently has this feat linked on his profile (cited there as "Justice League 2018 #39"), and as of recently, has this calc for it.

Both claim that this shows him acting in Planck time, but as far as I can tell, that's not really what the scan says?

While it does say "faster" and "between [...] Planck times", it also says "farther", "weaving through the invisible clockwork of the universe", "past myself and past all of it", and "to a distant place, a place that she cannot touch".

I can see why people jumped to the speed interpretation, but it doesn't sound like any particular thing is travelling within the timeframe of a few Planck seconds (as the calc asserts that his ability travels across the entire planet in that time). To me, it sounds like it's reaching to a fundamental place in space-time.

The calculation also links to these scans (cited there as "In Justice League 2018 #37 and #39"), mainly to indicate the planet-wide scale, but the end of the first page and start of the second seem to indicate something speed-related; "I cast out my mind before she can catch it! But she's right behind me! So I go FASTER! Until I am beyond myself, racing past any one mind, past him and her and them...andfasterandfasterstilluntilIpassinto you. Yes. You. I am with you. With you all."

This happens earlier in the comic than the main feat being focused on. But still seems weird as a speed feat. Going faster until he's beyond himself, fast enough that he passes into everyone?

I'm not, like, strongly opposing this, but it seems like really weird wording. Are we confident in interpreting it that way?

Clarity

Also it's currently just put under his generic Speed rating. It should probably just be "with Telepathy" or smth, rather than implying he can physically fly at those speeds.

Most interpretations of Planck Time feats tend to be hyperbolic in nature and would at best be perception rather than reaction speed. Those are my thoughts.

So, we should remove it for his lack of clearness? Or just put it under "far faster with telepathy"?

Martian Manhunter is gradually accelerating his telepathy speed here to fight Perpetua
How do you interpret those quotes that seem space-related?

That he'll eventually reach speeds pasts finite ones. He would still need to accelerate to plank times levels as per his quote, before eventually surpassing it.

Meh ig so.

So yeah, I'll just try to split this value off to "far higher with Telepathy" then.
