Now, one last thing, sorry to keep pushing this back, I just found it and it's pretty significant.

Jean destroys the ghosts of his father and St. Dumas. I know it could very well be just a metaphor for him defeating the system, but it's still very clearly shown to be physical here. Thoughts?
