How can a Magikarp even fight on land? Because its gonna have to flop around on land.... doing nothing.... against a FOREST of GRASS TYPES.

I find the composite tree to be stupid, but due to being well... grass type... and it being a forest on land, against a fish, to be a stomp in the tree's favor.

1) Magikarp just dropping on the seeds (unless he's getting trowed at them at high speed) would't damage them, since they are too small, and they are under the dirt.
