I think it was changed so that you need to have attraction to her for her to petrify you even with slave arrow, Goku also did not have prior knowledge there

Even if he has minimal understanding of romance at this point in time, future plot points are still evidence that Goku *****, so I wouldn't be shocked if he just ends up mentally stunned and unable to dodge from the very start of the fight.

I'm pretty sure he only feels any type of love or lust towards Chichi though. A woman like Hancock is probably just another strong opponent to him, and nothing else at all.

How does Goku handle Hancock's attacks which petrify and destroy wherever she makes contact with?

He has ranged options with Kamehameha, and also vastly outskills

Her attacks petrify on contact and she has better Kenbunshoku haki than the likes of the Admirals. She's a trained and seasoned fighter and is the strongest in an island of women warriors. Goku is definitely more skilled but it won't manifest itself in any meaningful way in close combat.
Hancock has many more ranged options which are infinitely more lethal and quick than anything Goku dishes out. Boa has superior Kenbunshoku haki than not only the Admirals, but her sister Sandersonia as well, who has direct feats of predicting several moves ahead of Luffy. If Goku tries to back up for any ranged attack, he'd get sniped and filled with holes or instantly oneshot with a Slave Arrow.

Nope. Boa sensed that Luffy was alive and then Salome went into the ocean afterwards to to track Law's submarine so that she could meet up with Luffy whenever they went back above water.

Starting distance is 4 km. Boa will have to close the distance, to try and get to Goku. Goku will not be backing up and can range **** her

I don't know what Goku can expect to do to Boa from a range of 4 km. Her Haki has attack reflection, her precog will see anything coming long before they reach her, and her own agility and unyielding nature would allow her to easily close that gap.
