First, we should reach a consensus regarding if MOTHER Encyclopedia is a canon source for character of Earthbound beginning. It requires help from Earthbound knowledgeable members.

Second, here is the proposal: upgrade Lloyd's intelligence.

Genius. At the age of three, Lloyd read a book by Albert Einstein, concerning the theory of relativity and he is influenced by Albert Einstein since then. At the age of four, Lloyd invented mirror-based "Bathroom TV", which allows him to watch TV while bathing. At the age of eight, Lloyd claimed that he nearly complete a time machine that he had been building on.

The translation of the MOTHER Encyclopedia can be seen here, and I do think that it is reliable and the book could help further upgrade.
