Link's Durability with Items

If we include the Blue Ring(› damage), Red Ring(¼ damage), Blue Tunic(› damage), Red Tunic(¼ damage), Defense upgrade(¼ damage, Phantom Hourglass), Blue Bracelet(› damage), Great Fairy's Spell OOT(› damage), Great Fairy's Spell MM(› damage) Green Ring(¼ damage), Blue Clothes(› damage), and Shield Spell(› damage), Link can take 32,768x the amount he could before.

This puts Link's durability at Solar System Level.

The same can be done with strength-inducing items too.

I am 99% sure this would be considered gameplay mechanics. I mean don't get me wrong, SS Zelda is ƒæÇ but I really doubt this'd be accepted.

Percentage values are generally not accepted due to being a non-diegetic detail (part of the game structure but not its story).

We can say that these items reduce the amount of damage he takes, but stacking those values together like that would be a no.

On the other hand, a Link (Gameplay) profile might be cool. No "cutscenes" or "scaling" or any of that. Just pure game feats.

That is, SS Zelda is eye-opening. Also, SS Zelda is already a thing (happy April Fool's Day!).

@Xcano

How about a profile that calc stacks all of the multiplier equipment on top of Link's best feats? That could be fun for Joke Battles or FC/OC wiki.

I agree with Reppuzan. We can use the maximum values for each Link in a composite profile, but not stack items in this manner.

Well, maybe. What do the rest of you think?

tbh, this would be like "Super Composite link" because normally in a game you'd have 2 of those at most (iirc, it was in LbW where the red cloac gave you a x4 defense). Still is more a game mechanic.

It'd be hilarious, tho. Composite link / with stacked items.

@PaChi

I'm still starkly opposed to the idea that we stack these gameplay multipliers that are never referenced in the story itself, especially for a composite profile where they were never meant to be used together.

I agree with Rep on that. But I do have to state that just one Red Ring pushes his durability to Large Star. It doesn't need stacking.

I still agree with Reppuzan.

We ca use all of his items in his composite profile, we cannot stack them in the way you've described. The best we can say is that they lower the amount of damage he takes.

Again, I agree, but given how small Star level is, and how casual Link is Star level, just one boost, not stacked, puts him into Large Star.

@The real cal howard

I'm fine with that in the vein that we scaled characters like Jin Mo-Ri in that manner. I just don't want people getting the idea of stacking items that were never meant to be stacked.

The star level scope can be extensive. So i think the items should be mentioned, but not this big durability upgrade since most tunics allows him to survive in certain situations (The Goron Tunic allowed him to survive the heat of Death Mountain) and does not increase his durability, most things are also game mechanic.

Small question, but which items increase Link's strength? Cause that means this might not only effect his durability, but his attack potency too.

Unless, of course, I'm reading that wrong.

Fierce Deity(4x his normal form), the Level 3 Master Sword(4x stronger than original) and a view others.
Ahh. Thanks.

I definitely agree with mentioning of a High 4-C then.

Given how small the gap between star levels is, the fact that Demise was weakened and yet did this casually and the realm was bigger than the star, I think it should just be large star in general.

That also makes sense.

Link [Composite] is a fan page, which is a non-canon fusion of all the Links powers, equipments and stats. With all of these merged he is way higher than Large Star level+, this is why i dislike the page.

Since the Composite Human profile is the hypothetical merging of every single human being who has ever existed. The Composite Link profile is is the hypothetical merging of every single Link in the Zelda continuity, so this why of my previous post.

Since the initial question seems to have been answered previously, should we close this thread?
