For once in my life, I actually know enough about a character to suggest a change.

For once in my freakin' life.

I will cherish this moment always, 'cause I doubt it's happening again.

Anyways, I remember rather distinctly that, during the episode in the anime where Light and L are chained together , they immediately start brawling and whipped out some rather impressive martial arts moves (much to my dismay, as I was hoping that this would be the one shonen I watched where the protagonist lacked martial arts training).

While the series IS known for being a bit of a soap opera about every little thing, I think that sending a man flying clean across the room with you flying right after him is a BIT more than 10-B.

I'd like to push for 10-A and Athlete level AP. And by "like to," I mean, "I feel it represents the character more accurately to their canon portrayal, regardless of my personal desires for a squishier bookworm."

To add to this, he had a pretty impressive tennis match with L at one point that left a massive audience in awe, including the university's tennis club (iirc) so athlete level seems appropriate to me too

I am all for it. Light is one of my most favourite characters after all.

Also the reason for the upgrade is "reasonable".

That seems fine, I think.

I'm glad to hear it!

It's not a huge upgrade, but it does highlight that, while the Death Note is Light's magic bullet, it isn't his only trick.

He's still Tier 10, but he's a respectable Tier 10.

"IMO" doesn't really mean much when you don't have evidence, but he should be 10-A too.

Either way, he should still be 10-A.

If you saw the video

You should know why I said that

So, should I lock this thread now?
