Lifting Strength question

The LS page says that a character with Below Average Human LS can lift 50 kg, or even that characters with an Athletic Human LS can lift 120 kg... I mean, no small child can lift weights plates of 50 kg , and definitely not all athletes can lift 120 kg in bench press. How does Lifting Strength work here? I do not really understand
 
The LS page says that a character with Below Average Human LS can lift 50 kg,
That's the upper bound for Below Average Human level.

It encompasses 0 kg - 50 kg, and a small child can definitely lift 5 kg at least, placing them in Below Average Human level.
or even that characters with an Athletic Human LS can lift 120 kg...
A good squat for Trained Athletes would be twice their body weight (above Final Thoughts in the article) which would be over 120 kg for most athletes.
How does Lifting Strength work here? I do not really understand
How much static force one can exert (so not the brief spike of force by punching, but like by pushing stuff around), usually measured in kilograms to metric tonnes.

"Well, your training experience has to be the most crucial part in determining how much of a bench press would be considered good for you. After all, you cannot expect to bench press 225 lbs for 5 reps within a month if you are an absolute beginner... Novices/beginners cannot lift double their weight without training, even athletes who practice other sports.
