Initially was planning to this next chapter but that chapter will be a month from now and I can’t wait.
Kaiju No. 9’s ability to fuse got expanded upon in this chapter, showcasing what exactly goes on
Mina Ashiro got one new showing
Supernatural Willpower (In a manner analogous to that of Isao Shinomiya, Mina is able to withstand the mind manipulation of Kaiju No. 9 and fight back via sheer resolve[3])
Bakko (the tiger that is with Mina)
Regeneration [Low-Mid] (Due to being part Kaiju, Bakko is capable of regenerating lost limbs and holes in its body[3])
Kaiju Physiology
Regeneration [Low-Mid] (Since Bakko is able to regenerate lost limbs due to being part Kaiju, other Kaiju should scale to this level)
Kaiju No. 9’s ability to fuse got expanded upon in this chapter, showcasing what exactly goes on
- Mind Manipulation (As seen with Isao losing his consciousness[1], Kaiju No. 9 has the ability to trap a target's mind in a different mental plane inside its body by swallowing that target with its jaws[2]. No. 9 disclosed that no one in history has been able to resist this power, since even if the target could resist No. 9 directly, it doesn't matter because it is not only No. 9 they have to deal with but also the large gathering of consciousness as well[3]. This technique has shown to be effective with Kaiju No. 2, whose whose carcass was turned into weaponry)
- Memory Manipulation (When the target enters this realm, their memories are disrupted, and they are unable to recall the sequence of events that brought them there, reverted to their child version in both body and mind. Kaiju No. 9 is shown able to access the target’s memories, as it could create illusions of Mina’s greatest failure, disguise itself as the child version of Kafka Hibino and has knowledge of Miiko[3]. This is further supported by Kaiju No. 10 stating that No. 9 can access the memories of those it has consumed[4])
- Illusion Creation and Social Influencing (No. 9 has the ability to create illusions of the target's greatest treasures and/or biggest failures. Furthermore, as demonstrated with Mina, No. 9 is able to enter this realm and assume the identity of someone the target holds dear in order to gain their trust and make the fusion process easier. If Bakko hadn't intervened, this tactic would have succeeded[3])
- Fusionism (As a result of this ability, No. 9 is able to fuse its body with that of another creature[5], therefore acquiring the creature’s powers[6] in addition to their appearances)
- BFR (No. 9 can initiate the fusion process without the target's content[5], as demonstrated by Isao, who resisted from within No. 9 afterward for a month before ultimately giving up[1]. This means that even if the target is able to resist No. 9's mind manipulation, they are depicted as being powerless to escape for that long)
- Multiple Selves (Type 1: It is revealed that within Kaiju No. 9 that there are a large conglomerate of consciousness within, possessing such a powerful will that even No. 9 itself cannot control them when it comes to its Mind Manipulation and related abilities, despite possessing the ability to manipulate thousand of Kaiju across Japan as a whole)
