I'd give it to Kid Goku.

He's a combat genius, has great skill versatility (solar flare, after image, kamehameha, etc) and he's amazingly powerful/durable. He's tanked electricity attacks before as well. Also, if it's food he's after he'll be extremely motivated. He's more consistently able to deal out the damage and take it as well.

Composite AFAIK gives the user the highest stats for each, so it would be Ash's Pikachu in intelligence/strategy and Ash's Pikachu is able to do complex reasoning and battle without Ash being there.

Pikachu. Barriers, Growl and Play Nice will weaken Goku's attacks and while Goku resists electricity he can still be paralyzed and Pikachu has other options aside from electric attacks.
