Well well well. Already had Deku beat this guy, so why not run it back with explosion boy.

Nine’s versatility is his main selling point, as well as being able to take damage SOMEWHAT better than Bakugo. Bakugo scales in durability to people that get ****** up bad by the shared AP going on, while Nine can at least take a hit or three with no visible damage. On top of that, his barrier should still be able to block Bakugo’s attacks, except for maybe his cluster moves (and especially not for a certain one). His laser and water dragon spam are good at keeping Bakugo away even with his flight, and if push comes to shove, he can send down some tornadoes or make his giant storm to destroy whatever area they’re at. Decent options, to say the least.

That’s about all I’ve got to say positively for Nine though. Cause Bakugo in this key kinda just smacks the shit out of everything I just listed.

Mobility wise, Bakugo can keep up with and definitely outmaneuver Nine and his attacks. With Cluster, he’s bouncing all around the place at speeds that Nine simply can’t pin down, even with his lasers and dragons. He’s damn near getting outsped as bad as he did vs the OFA duo, if not worse since Bakugo isn’t flinching in pain with every movement he makes.

Also, as shown in the fight when Bakugo had OFA, he can actually DESTROY Nine’s dragons with his explosions, as well as BLOCK a his lasers. So zooming past and blowing them away is well within his capabilities. Nine’s main two offensive options being blocked or dodged leave only his shield to help, but that’s only if Bakugo doesn’t blitz past to hit him like he did in their first encounter but with a far higher chance of success.

The Strafe Panzer support gear immensely helps since Bakugo gets to blast the whole battlefield constantly, and since Nine is a stationary fighter even at full power, he’s forced to keep on the move and waste energy.

The icing on the cake is Howitzer Impact: Cluster, which honestly should just break through anything Nine has and toast him to a crisp. This attack was praised by Prime AM level Shigaraki, so for someone like Nine who is much weaker, he’s just getting cooked like he did at the end of the movie. Even against the OFA Duo in the movie, his best shields were broken, so Bakugo’s best attack should be able to break through it enough to send Nine straight to Nighteye.

But the worst thing for Nine is that damn timer he’s on. At full power, he can’t fight forever, and Bakugo knows that. He will absolutely Cluster and Strafe Panzer spam to play defense, stalling Nine out while using every trick he has to stay out of the way of attacks that could cripple him. Finish it all off with a Howitzer Impact: Cluster and this should be good night for Nine.

Also, fun idea: If Nine tries to drag his storm down and hit Bakugo with it or a tornado, his Howitzer Impact: Cluster should be able to actually blow large portions of it apart with its AoE. So even that option would get countered by Current Bakugo.

Also if we’re being for real… Bakugo could likely awaken his Quirk further if he’s pushed hard enough. And then he just one shots Nine honestly.

Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight for the win. Like I said with Deku: Nine has been outmatched with time and upgrades. Bro legit has no answer to half of Bakugo’s arsenal other than Water Dragon, Laser and Barrier spam, all of which Bakugo can get past with his own heavy artillery and newfound mobility.
