Kain vs Dante

This is Kain (legacy of kain) vs Dante (Devil May Cry)

Kain is in his Elder form as of the end of Defiance and is equiped with the Soul reaver (with all Emblems) and his spells and abilities from the games.

Dante is in his DMC 2 incarnation, using feats from the games (DMC 1, 2, 3 and 4) and the anime only. He has all his powers and abilities.

battleground is Earth as it is today.

Both are in character but are fighting to kill their opponent. Victory is attained if the opponent is killed OR incapaciated for up to 1 day.

I Love both characters, both have phenominal stories. I have to go with Dante on this one.

How would you say Dante wins Cinder? How would he survive telekinesis?

Kain's primary weapon is the Soul Reaver, and although a powerful weapon, Dante has possession of several more: Sparda's Sword, Allistor, Gauntlets of Ifrit, etc. Kain has evolved over centuries of natural biological evolution as a vampiric species, but Dante is able to transform very quickly by pulling on the essence of whatever demonic or angelic object he touches.

Kain's immortality is more fragile than Dante's.

It would be a good fight as both Kain and Dante have fought demons and dark forces in their own right. Kain was able to defeat the Elder God with the complete Soul Reaver, but Dante has defeated Mundus, the Despair Embodied, Argosax the Chaos, and other god-like entities or demonic powerhouses of equal or higher threat.

I LOVE Kain, but I have to go with Dante 100% or at least 9/10.

I would say the Soul reaver is beyond Dantes weapons. Alongside the emblems and its own power;

A canonically indestructable edge- Cannot be broken outside of plot induced paradoxes in the LoK timeline

Devours souls on strike- Does not have to have to kill or damage the one struck, may not have to directly hit either according to Soul Reaver and Kain striking Raziel with it. This should be an instant soul hax win for kain.

Emblems- Blitz teleportation, reflecting of damage, fireing lightning, time manipualtion and mind/emotion influencing powers.

Dante is immortal through Regenerationn, Kain is outright immortal, as in he can only be killed by having his heart impaled by the weapon he himself holds. Dante would not know this.

"Dante has defeated Mundus, the Despair Embodied, Argosax the Chaos, and other god-like entities or demonic powerhouses of equal or higher threat."

He would not be able to face the Elder God however, the Elder runs through the core of a planet, lives throughout time and is multidimensional. He would not even be able to percieve him.


Kain is also thousands of years old, wiser, has a infinitely fast mind and will based powers such as;

Telekinesis

How will Dante even move when under the power of Kains will, destroying his inner body, crushing his heart/brain, draining all his blood out of him till his dry?

Kain also gains powers from those he drains, both physical and mystical, so he may gain Dantes primary gifts anyway.


Will baed powers, a plethora of hax, time stop, time slow, immortality beyond Dantes, if anything I would say the opposite, Dante can win a few battles, it is not impossible but 90-100% Kain should take this.

Dante is High 6A while Kain is High 8C with his best weaponry.

The result is a stomp.

Gargoyle do you have any explanation for how Dante can face TK? Or kill Kain?

Kain is due an upgrade anyway, the profile for him is not complete.

Abigail also has telikinesis, and he completely failed on Dante.

Dante time stops him in place if he's ever caught in telekinesis

When did Abigail fail to TK Dante? I do not recall that happening, Dante is a relatively low mass being who has no defence against TK. And Dantes time stop is limited, if he freezes kain while hes being TKed then hes effectively freezing Kain in the state of Dante being Tked, meaning Dante would be waiting until the end of the time stop.

Kain also has a time slow, a time stop AND with TK can practically lock Dante down and destroy him with mind and soul hax.

Even if Dante can attack Kain, how would he even put him down? LoK vampires are spiritual beings, I cannot imagine him ever thinking to use the Soul reaver to impale him with before its too late and will waste a lot of time using his own useless weapons.

Telikinesis doesn't work in a time stop.....Ever....

What are you talking about? If you have stopped time then the force applied by the time stop is frozen. Not only that, Kain can create Tk constructs (shackles) that remain regardless of what he is doing.

Finally, Dante does not always use time stop, certainly not as a first option.

No, unless Kain has time resistance, his power is not workingin a time stop.....

Your saying force ceases to exist if time is not flowing? We know factually that is not how time stop works in DMC, because objects stopped in time can be moved, e.g. rocks float when pushed by Dante when he uses quicksilver in DMC 3 for example.
