So, Gege Akutami stated on several occasions that everything that happens in the anime adaptation is considered canon and faithful to the source material however this does bring up some weird scaling issues because the JJK anime adds scenes that didn't exist in the manga and would bring up all characters stats by a lot, such as Sukuna splitting clouds and Choso's fight with Kenjaku

So anyways, just make up your minds in the comments

JJK anime is canon:

JJK anime isn't canon:

anime is secondary canon to the manga. we've established this numerous times already

if the anime fills in gaps, like a battle happening on and off screen, then the anime can be used to fill in the gaps. if the anime adds something completely different from what we see in the manga then we disregard it.

I don't think the Choso vs Kenny fight in the anime really changes scaling at all, but that's besides the point.

Anime is secondary canon for JJK. Generally as long as it's not contradictive it should be ok, though the wiki may be a bit more strict than that.

I feel like the anime will make drastic changes to the story in the future to improve the story of the manga, so at some point it could be possible the anime could become the proprietary canon.

As for now, it really comes down to what the anime elaborates on or adds vs what we already have.
