JoJo and the Durability/Staying Stand stat

I work with JoJo's Colored Adventure and had extensive discussions with the translator for Vento Aureo. In recent chapters, you may have noticed that the "durability" stand stat isn't durability or staying anymore, it's Permanence. According to the translator, the "dictionary definition" of µîüþÂÜÕèø (Jizoku-ryoku?) is "durability" but not durability as in "how much damage can this thing take before it breaks" but rather "how long I can use this thing before it wears out" like mechanical parts. It's more like the Stamina stat in this case. This will have to modify a lot of Stand users durability stats that depend on their Stand charts.

I see, I'd like to ask a question. If the durability stat is to signify stamina or how long someone can use their stand for before it runs out. Why is this never a dilemma presented in the manga? Or is to describe the length of time one can use their stand abilities for? But if this was the case, why would Jotaro's durability in part 6 be higher in the intro than it was towards the end of the part (when he could stop time longer than in the intro)?

Araki having consistency, good joke

I was gonna say something like that. This is a guy who wrote Whitesnake as having a speed of D despite evading a Stand rush, not to mention leaving most of its stats as question marks do to how inconsistent he wrote it. He also wrote Star Platinum's range as being 1-2 meters and ranked it as C while Crazy Diamond has around the same range but is ranked D.

In other words, the Stand rankings are not as reliable as you think.
