In Johnny Cage VS Captain Falcon (Mortal Kombat VS F-Zero) | DEATH BATTLE!, Death Battle Calculate energy by finding the volume of attack and saying it would need this many joules of electricity to fill it. Source. They got a result of 151 Billion Joules of Energy. My question is how did they do that?

No idea. I don't think they really knew how to calculate electricity anyway.

Quite frankly, they could have calc'd the energy it took to destroy the satellite Captain Falcon and Black Shadow were in or, if they really want to wank the feat, the energy it took to illuminate the chunk of the galaxy they were in instead.
