The energy does not come solely from the high temperatures, but is due to the kinetic energy of the particles (electrons, protons, and heavier ions) that when heated are accelerated to near the speed of light (source):
The plasma medium is heated to tens of millions of kelvins, while electrons, protons, and heavier ions are accelerated to near the speed of light.
Solar flares occur in a power-law spectrum of magnitudes; an energy release of typically 10²⁰ joules of energy suffices to produce a clearly observable event, while a major event can emit up to 10²⁵ joules.
Flares occur when accelerated charged particles, mainly electrons, interact with the plasma medium. Evidence suggests that the phenomenon of magnetic reconnection leads to this extreme acceleration of charged particles. [...] The sudden release of energy in this reconnection is the origin of the particle acceleration. [...] It is not clear how the magnetic energy is transformed into the kinetic energy of the particles.
NASA also compares the energy released by a solar flare to nuclear explosions and volcanic eruptions:
The amount of energy released is the equivalent of millions of 100-megaton hydrogen bombs exploding at the same time.
As the magnetic energy is being released, particles, including electrons, protons, and heavy nuclei, are heated and accelerated in the solar atmosphere. The energy released during a flare is typically on the order of 10²⁷ ergs per second. Large flares can emit up to 10³² ergs of energy. This energy is ten million times greater than the energy released from a volcanic explosion. On the other hand, it is less than one-tenth of the total energy emitted by the Sun every second.
And solar flares are used as examples of astronomical explosions, and other pages also classify them as explosions (here and here)

If the whole thing is inconsistent then it definitely cannot be used to justify durability
Like, this is not an excuse, whole verses are downgraded by similar things or even less

Also, what you have just said is... the ****? 5-B but then ya use 6-C energy for your calc?

The inconsistency is not the power of the Phoenix Force (since throughout the movie it was always highlighted: the comparison with a solar flare, being the most powerful being in the galaxy, its ability to destroy planets and everything that ever come into contact with it, being the spark that gave life to the universe), but that the space shuttle wasn't instantly destroyed
