The zombies in WWZ have been killed from hits to the head before by guns and melee weapons, so yes, they do die if the brain is destroyed. At least the WWZ ones seem too.

Seeing as this takes place at Crystal Lake, Jason should have his traps alert him when the zombie is coming. He's likely to engage in close quarters and try to land a big machete or axe blow. Or could kill from throwing an axe since he is so skilled with them. This Jason should also be a human and should be vulnerable to bites. So he should turn into a zombie then. How long does it take? Given that the zombie needs to get a bite in, I think due to range and homefield advantage Jason wins here more times than not.

In general the zombie page is sorta... poorly done. There's zero justification for any of its stats. Also they're rated as peak human for everything when normal humans can outrun them and escape from holds.

Generally though I expect Jason to win. He has solid axe throwing skills, he should be far faster than a Zombie in a 1 vs 1 situation, and lastly he has a solid range advantage with his machete. They're just gonna charge at each other; Jason hurts or kills it with an axe through, dodges a leap, and then kills them with his machete.

ok, noting what was discussed and the way that zombie type 2 immortality works, Jason wins, the zombie’s only win condition is infecting Jason, but it’s much more likely that Jason will finish off the zombie fazer
