Basically, these two warlords (Eyedol and Gargos) waged war against each other in the past, they were banished until modern times, when one of them was freed and then killed. After his death, the other warlord came out but is dragged into the past alongside other characters (and places), and he is now free to rule because his rival is dead.
This seems to imply there are no past versions of these warlords, just the current ones (the first being dead, the second swept into the past). If this was the case, would this count as some type of acausality?
To support this, another character has a past version of himself (the two images refer to the first and second game respectively) and the time they were sent to is also confirmed to be the same as when the war took place, 2000 years ago (look also at the age of the Skeleton between the two games).
