Rob speed blitz Luffy
Luffy than in base was able to keep up with rob and his beast form
Gear 2 is 10x multipier
100x faster in 3D2Y (it is canon)
And in gear4 he is 75x faster
Katakuri was faster than him he kept up with him in g4 and then Luffy got stronger somehow he was able to keep up with him in base
And snakeman is 9x faster than g4

G5 is 8x stronger than gears

It seems to be a mistranslation, which is common when it comes to lightning in japanese, as far as I can see it says the air expanded at the speed of sound, and not the speed of light

音速 = speed of sound
光速 = speed of light

Though if someone wants to double-check then make a request in the translations request thread
