Invulnerability & drowning

By standard? Not really. But if it comes from self sustenance or underwater breathing, or some degree of immortality, then sure.
 
Like the others said, it's not standard but depends, for example, Irma Lair from the W.I.T.C.H. comics is the Guardian of water, who after getting her new power could not be drowned or effected by the crushing depths of the ocean simply because she's invulnerable to her element of water.
