What stops Mephiles from time traveling and killing Zero? (aka Infinite before he became...well Infinite) also Mephiles could steal Infinite's shadow to copy his powers.

You can follow Mephiles in his time portals, Shadow and Omega did that, and where does the copying powers come from, pretty sure Mephiles can't do that

Well,if he goes into shadows and darkness,maybe he can keep Infinite busy with energy attacks and clones while he hides,which might give him time to steal Infinite's shadow or time travel.

He can't actualy hurt Infinite tho, and Shadow's Chaos Boost can get him out of there, so Infinite could do the same by powering up, not even forgetting the Ruby illusions and allThe Golden Moustache said:

well if he steals Infinite's shadow,he'd also gain his powers which would allow him to summon his own clones and the clones Infinite can make along with his reality warping,so would he be able to harm Infinite if he steals his shadow?
Also would Mephiles just end up in illusions again if he time travels?

No, because of several reasons, the first being only the original Infinite would have a shadow because the others aren't "real", and second Infinite's power comes from the Ruby, getting his shadow would only give him the powers of the weak jackal

Well,true,also Infinite has beat Current Sonic who is much more stronger than he was when he got one shotted by Mephiles,Mephiles might be smarter but Infinite has hax like illusions to confuse Mephiles and can banish him to Null Space.
Mr. Not Weak Jackal beats Edgy shadow without a mouth FRA i guess.
