Inexplicably Coming Back From Death

At the end of the first episode of Space Dandy a supernova goes off and the main characters die. At the start of the next episode they're unexplainedly alive and remember the events of the last episode, with the robot asking Dandy "Wait, didn't we just die?"

What are the implications of this feat for a profile for these characters?
