Hello everyone. I've been thinking for weeks how powerful the Omega Level Mutants of Marvel. Recently, I have been thinking about the possibility of ANY of them beating the Man of Steel in a fight. I looked at their powers and tried to imagine a fight. Most of them, at least to me, seem like they could HURT Superman or slow him down, but not defeat him. However, there has been one Mutant that I believe could beat the Kryptonian......Iceman of the X-Men. Yeah, I know most people just see Iceman as another Ice Manipulating Super, but please hear me out.
Everyone knows Iceman as th ice slinging superhero of the X-Men. He's been around since the 60s I think, and he's usually the comic relief. One would be forgiven for thinking he wouldn't stand a chance against a guy who could melt th polar caps with a glare. However, you have to consider the recent increase in his power. He's on the Omega rank because he can command moisture and temperatures around him to a near-limitless degree. Also, his powers allowed him to go from coating his body in ice to actually becoming Ice, letting him alter his form to massive sizes, transferring his consciousness through sources of water and reforming himself if shattered
His Feats Include:
-Taking on the Red Hulk
-Taking on THOR
-Creating a minor Ice Age (see Age of Apocalypse)
-Creating Sentient Ice Minions
-Creating Blizzards
The scenario I imagine takes place on a desolate island. The two men meet and the FIGHT BEGINS! Iceman blasts Supes with ice until the Man of Steel is frozen solid. However, Supes breaks free, darts toward Iceman and punches him to pieces. Superman is shocked by this, but soon Iceman reforms and commands the moisture in the area. This causes ice to swirl all around the island, transforming it into a frozen wasteland, Suddenly, Iceman stands before Superman in a giant form and has the Kryptonian surrounded by ice soldiers. The army swarms superman and he soon blasts them with his heat vision in a massive burst only to get a massive punch from Iceman. The fight continues for hours, with Superman getting tired due to the sunlight being blocked by blizzard clouds. After hours of fighting, the kryptonian begins to lose energy and power. Iceman seizes the oppurtunity and freezes the moisture in Supermans body. Superman struggles to attack, but he can feel every molecule in his body being frozen. He is soon completely frozen killing him.
But all of this is just my speculation. Do YOU guys think Iceman can beat the Man of Steel?
