One thing I learned on this site is that KE calcs don't work on lightspeeds or greater (debatably high relativistic too). But, what if a fiction said something like this:

Hero: Agh! That hurt!

Villain: Kinetic Energy equals one half velocity times mass. Imagine how hard that hits going a two and a half sextillion times faster than light.

Would a KE calc work then?

If they outright tell you to that the formula can be used for FTL speeds then maybe. (but which authorr writes how physics works in his verse....)

If it is just said like this I would assume they still use real science and the formula is just for the newtonian approximation, due to that being close enough and authors not knowing better.

Alright. Lets say in this universe. A character moves a galaxy at aforementioned speeds. What would be the result?

^That char would be moving the space around that galaxy, since only space could achieve that speed. At that speed though, you would travel to the end of the observable universe pretty fast, and the mass you would collect along the way would break the law of physic for you :)
